I was in a meeting and the tweet came up on my phone. I bolted back to my desk, clicked the link and looks like I got it.

Thank you for registering your attendance for the Qantas Tweet and Eat. We will be in contact next week with a formal invitation and further detail.

IIRC the lunch will be at NP's MEL restaurant, incl a sample of the new J class and SIN lounge offerings. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, as I only skimmed the details to make sure that I could attend!

Nope. It conflicts with another event where there's a large AFF contingent

Never been to Spice Temple, so should be great.

Invitations don't come until next week, so won't exactly jump the gun quite yet. But, then after that I've just got flights to worry about, and possibly accommodation (don't know any crash pads in Melbourne).

I've got more VA points than QF points - should I be a traitor and book with....?

Yep it was a lunch at Spice Temple with samples from the new J menu and the new SIN lounge food. I have a feeling flights wont be included (and QF will be sick of spending time with me as well).

I can see potentially a quick trip to MEL for the family.

What annoys me about this is that I haven't been invited to any event as a WP1 but you can go to this event if you win on Twitter.

It seems if you are a WP1 in Adelaide there are no event invites.

I didn't see the tweet for 5 minutes so all places were full.

And if you aren't familiar with twitter you get nada. Obviously I was on the wrong twitter page as I kept refreshing the original announcement page. I guess as neil Perry doesn't have a restaurant here Adelaide will never host. Hell, we don't even have a Business Class lounge at the airport!

Did it say they were gone? I got "Thank you we'll be in contact with you next week for a formal invite".

Just wondering if it was generic or actually limited to a certain amount and after that submissions were rejected.
