Bugger my bonus points have still not turned up in my account. I'm thinking I might not have been as lucky as some others applicants that previously held a Qantas AMEX and were still granted the points.
I phone customer service and was told the terms state up to 10 weeks for points to post and he did not mention anything about my previous cc, so maybe there is hope?
It has been 8 weeks or more since I made the minimum spend.

Anyone else's with a similar experience?

Hi Croupier - that sucks! I saw you applied towards the end of Jan. Can I ask when you last held a Qantas AMEX card? And if you hold any other AMEX issued cards when you applied?

I last held the ultimate over 12 months ago and currently hold the discovery card (

I know it sucks, and you probably don't want to hear it (I wouldn't), but if you hold (or have held in the last 18 months) a AMEX card with the same rewards program as the one your applying for there is very little chance (ie no chance) you'll get any signon bonus points.

Unfortunately for you I believe the Discovery card is a Qantas direct earn card, the same as the Ultimate (ie same rewards program). Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I wouldn't hold my breath on getting the points.

Yeah, I might just have to redeem my free flight and cancel to get my pro rata annual fee back (
