Qantas Ultimate American Express Card: 112500 Qantas Points Offer

Status
Not open for further replies.
Leaving my run a bit late - this offer expires on 30 January 2017 - but if you apply for the Qantas American Express Ultimate Card using my referral link below, you can get up to 112,500 Qantas frequent flyer points (see below) and I will get 20,000:

http://amex.com.au/refer/markuhVdP8

Details and 'terms & conditions' of the offer are available by clicking the link, but I will summarise the key points. Also, I have held this card for about six months and have used it a fair bit so I am happy to answer any questions about this card via PM.

Firstly, the 112,500 bonus points for you are made up of:

-5,000 Qantas Points after your first Card spend within 3 months of the Card approval date;
-105,000 Qantas Points after you spend $1,500 on purchases with your new Card within 3 months of the Card approval date; and

-2,500 Qantas Points after your first Card spend on selected Qantas products and services in Australia (flights, flight gift vouchers, seat selection payment, flight award fees etc.).

Other features of the card:

-3 Qantas Points per dollar spent at tens of thousands of restaurants in Australia, and selected Qantas products and services in Australia-2 Qantas Points per dollar spent on airlines, accommodation, major cruise and tour operators paid directly or through travel agencies, and spend in foreign currency when overseas and online
-1 Qantas Point per dollar spent at all other providers, excluding those listed as earning 0.5 points below and insurances offered by American Express
-0.5 Qantas Points per dollar spent on utilities (gas, water and electricity providers), insurance offered by companies other than American Express, telecommunication providers (including goods and services purchased from phone, mobile and internet service providers) and government bodies including the Australian Taxation Office, Australia Post, federal/state and local government bodies

-A complimentary Qantas domestic return Economy flight to a range of cities each Membership year after your first Card spend on selected Qantas products and services.

-Complimentary access up to two entries per calendar year to the American Express Lounge at Sydney International (Kingsford Smith) Airport T1.

-Complimentary domestic and overseas travel insurance

-0% p.a. on balance transfers for the first 12 months — A one-off credit plan establishment fee of 1% applies to any balances transferred.

-An annual fee of $450

The sign-up bonus alone make this a very juicy offer, and the free flight helps further justify the annual fee. Furthermore, I find the higher earn rates on selected spend categories make this is a valuable card to hold on to; the 3 points per dollar at restaurants and cafes add for anyone who eats out at all, though where I have really made hay is earning 2 points per dollar on three business class flights to Europe bought through Expedia. This really is a great card for someone who spends a lot on travel given the double points on a number of travel-related categories and the triple points on selected Qantas services.

Ok I guess it’s time to make my pitch with my referral link here too! I signed up a couple of weeks ago using a forum members link so hoping to feel some reciprocal love!

My referral link can be found HERE

As everyone is aware by now signing up though my referral link will get you a cool 110k bonus QFF points after spending $1,500. Plus another 2.5k points if you buy a Qantas product (assume this needs to be a flight). And of course if anyone is kind enough to use my link I’ll get 20k pts for myself (and after our recent trip to the US we could sure use them!).

If you enjoyed reading about me stuffing my face and hiking in America, appreciated my contributions to the exploitation of the Bank West QF Transaction Account, or for some reason just happen to think I’m a good bloke then please sign up using my referral and you can be sure I will put the points to good use (as well as being extremely appreciative).

Main features of this card are:
· $450 annual fee
· Free domestic return flight each year
· A couple of passes to the AMEX lounge in SYD
· Complimentary domestic and international travel insurance
· 0% p.a. balance transfer for 12months
· A great earn rate of up to 3pts per $ spent.

This is a great card by itself and the bonus point offer makes it a no-brainer IMO. Whether you want to keep the card long term or cancel after the bonus points hit your account for a pro-rata rebate on the annual fee, you can’t go wrong with it.

So if I’ve managed to hook you in and you love cheap points as much as I do then please APPLY NOW!

Last call for 112.5k bonus on this fantastic card! The current offer expires at the end of the month and then I'll be cancelling.

I note that a couple of kind members have signed up using my link so far which meant I added 20k a piece to the next holiday fund. Looking at Europe in J for April next year which means booking in a few months time. Another referral or two would go a long way to making this happen and would be much appreciated by all in the NoName household.

Link is in my post above! :)

Hey Jhig, used your referral so you should get 20K soon if not already as my card has arrived. Time is running out for people to take advantage of this great offer. Amex site says you have till Jan 30 to apply. It's a great deal - I've noticed the bonus points on most cards seem to be shrinking.
If you use my referral link you'll get 112,500 points and I'll get 20K. Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses to use it. Daughter and I are off RTW as a graduation present. The link is:

Thanks for the update Amanda. I am in the same boat as you. I held the qantas premium card until about 5 months ago. I applied through your referral and was approved for the card. You should see 20k points hit your account soon hopefully :)

Thankyou so much bonus points are showing when i checked account today, hadnt checked this thread for a while so didnt know anyone used my refferal so was a great surprise thankyou very much!!

No worries! I can confirm that I received 5k ff points on my first spend a few days ago. I also just received another 2.5k ff points and triggered the free domestic flight by purchasing a carbon offset from Sydney to Brisbane for $1.04! :) Link to the Qantas carbon offset here: https://www.qantasfutureplanet.com.au/#calculator
I have yet to hit the spend on the $1,500 required to receive the $112.5k points in total but it's looking good already even though I held the Qantas Premium card up to about 5 months ago!

Finally, if you want to be referred for this credit card please apply through my link :). You will receive 112.5k qantas ff points by meeting the terms and conditions of the card and I will receive 20K points as a referrer.

Only a few days left (before 31 January 2017) before this amazing offer is over!

If you collect Qantas points and prefer to fly Qantas, these are the cards for you.

American Express is feeling REALLY REALLY generous. They are now offering Qantas Ultimate Amex with 112500 points with free Qantas domestic flights thrown in. This is be best bang for the buck card if you are looking for Qantas points.

Essentially, it is 112500 Qantas points + free domestic Qantas flight for $450 annual fee.

Now I also get 20000 bonus point myself via the referral. However this is a win, win situation. You get extra points by applying via referral link that you cannot get via standard Amex promotions.

The bonus Qantas points will come as long as you meet the following spending criteria:

- 5,000 Qantas Points after your first Card spend within 3 months of the Card approval date.

- 105,000 Qantas Points after you spend $1,500 on purchases with your new Card within 3 months of the Card approval date.

- 2,500 extra Qantas Points[SUP]1[/SUP] after your first Card spend in Australia on selected Qantas products and services

APPLY HERE

Amongst other things, you also get the following:

- complimentary access up to two entries per calendar year to the American Express Lounge at Sydney International (Kingsford Smith) Airport T1.

- Complimentary domestic and overseas travel insurance.

- For free flights, you can book the flight in the name of another person;

- 0% p.a. on balance transfers for the first 12 months A one-off credit plan establishment fee of 1% applies to any balances transferred (NOTE: Spend the $1500 on purchases first as well as 1 Qantas services to get the bonus points first, pay it all off, BEFORE doing this).

I don't think I have ever seen an offer like this from Amex. It even eclipses the previous 110K Velocity offer from Amex. It is simply the best card on offer right now, as long as you meet the salary criteria (65K per year), even though based on AFF's past feedback, Amex could still approve your application even if you meet the salary criteria, subject to their discretion.

You can APPLY HERE.

If you really don't want Ultimate card (or cannot meet their salary criteria), you can always look at their Premium Card or their discovery card. Please see the table below with application links for each of the cards, as well as comparisons between the cards:

Thanks Steady - I haven't followed the Explorer referral thread closely, so wasn't aware of this issue. For what it's worth, I checked my link for the Qantas Amex Ultimate and it remains current (and looks like it hasn't changed since I got my card).

There are some posts in the Explorer referral thread that highlighted many existing/old links were no longer working

In case anyone is still deciding whether to apply for this card I can easily say that Mr purpleparrot (no.2) and I have been really happy with this card and in particular, the 112,500 QF points we earned from using a referral link on this thread and making our first spend on the card with Qantas (taxes for an award booking).

Mr purpleparrot (no.2) has used the points (read: my points) for a business class flight to Vienna on Emirates in June to travel through Austria, Slovenia and Hungary. I get to stay home with the kids. Apparently I get to use the free domestic flight and get to travel overseas next time in business. If you'd like to help address this gross injustice then please consider using my referral link. I'll get 20k QF points towards my next trip and you'll get the bonus 10,000 QF points.

Don't forget the current offer expires on 30 January 2017!
