I'm sorry about that @fletty - at least you'll have the consolation of the FLounge before the flight (while I slum it for 5 hrs in the basement). Are you connecting to QF1 too?

No, I'm actually coming back in F on EK404 Saturday morning. We're doing a overnight trip just for the FLounge and the flight back!

That's kind but I assumed as much. That is an admirable commitment to travel - I feel a bit less guilty now...

Was checking the app compulsively and noticed success at least SYD-SIN on QF 1 from Flex Y to J just before leaving the lounge otherwise would have been at the gate as WP.

Two friends in PE on one separate booking failed to get upgraded. One WP and one SG.

So are you saying you as WP received upgrade y to J, yet another friend missed out on an upgrade from Y+ to J ??

So as a flexY WP, you beat your PE WP? That seems to counter general understanding of upgrade rule. Everyone was a solo traveler (one pax per booking), and everyone elected for at-the-gate upgrade? Do you beat your friend with some life time status?

No the PE travellers were on one booking (2x travellers), but a different one to mine. I should have worded my post differently

QF2 LHR - SYD - W to J success at T-59 as a WP

Again, now waiting on an upgrade for an SG booked on a linked, but seperate PNR with the points request coming from my WP account.

Went from F3A0J9C9D4I0 to F2A0J9C7D0I0 and about 14 empty J seats in the seat map to 9 empty.

and success at T-27 for the SG on a seperate booking from W to J. Everyone happy.
