Qantas Wine latest offering

"Regardless of year" - do you mean you can get it each year? Or just the once, but doesn't matter how long you have been a member?

And I edited that from regardless of term because I thought "year" was more clear.

Once only per member but I got the 48 bonus in my second year, after giving up on it.

Shocked last week to see almost 11,000 points given for dozen bottles, value abt $1K, not during any new bonus period.

On checking, yes, its the 8K bonus kicking in. I joined July 2011

Well fortuitously my dinner guests drank a lot more than expected, freeing up cellar space to take advantage of the 6 points per dollar offer.

Anyone else partaking?

I've decided not to - just got a quaffing dozen from Cellarmasters instead (to replace the ones drunk in the past couple of weeks). Tempting, but I think I've only bought 1 dozen from epiQure ATM - would rather for some bonus point ones

Today's offer: Earn 4000 points for any two cases (all six packs). The cheapest is $107.94... so $216 for 4000 bonus points plus 648 points on the spend (plus credit card points).
Not bad.

Just received the same.
Missus quite liked the Red Claw Pinot Noir we bought last month so another dozen + 4000 points looks like a good thing.

good deal, 4 cases, with the 2000 first 12 offer makes it a tidy circa 12k point haul with some good wine!

Make that 6 cases and 17k'ish points.....1 case away from the 8k bonus.......

I got it and took me about 6 seconds to realise what great value (plus like others here, like drinking the wines). Xanadu plus a Red Claw coming my way ($227.88 all in), as well as 4,682 QFF's + CC points. 2nd order and now 3 dozen purchased. Slowly getting there for the next bonus level :D

[-]Was looking at that, but have a SC-run in mind under DSC that could be just under $2/SC and about 8000 points earned for just $100 more. I'm on an alcohol ban right now, so perhaps more flying is the answer ;)[/-]

Edit: Decided to treat myself for the future, seeing as I have enough flying booked! Bought the riesling and the GSM for $269.88, as below... and a nice points haul.

Is the Riesling any good? In laws only like non dry wine. But at least have the good sense to accept a glass of French bubbly without too much nose turning.

Did anyone who ordered the Peter Lehmann Stonewell 2001 Shiraz from a recent order open same?

I opened a pair soon after receipt using my usual trusty corkscrew and both corks disintegrated. They didn't appear to be in bad condition - just brittle.

Tonight, a third bottle, opened carefully with corkscrew had the same result. I then retreated to my 'waiters friend' and the cork came out fine.

I guess I may have thought to use the waiters friend first up on a 2001 bottle, but normally its 20+ yo corks that might cause an issue.

Anyone else have this problem? Wondering if its a bad batch of corks.

Hadn't seen that one mentioned smdoherty - although value isn't as good as the one above unless you are looking for bubbles.

The cabinet is full after the 6 points/$ offer, but what the heck.

Another 5000 points plus a dozen bottles is an offer way too good to let pass

Having never ordered from Epiqure before, I'm hoping that if I take advantage of this offer I'll earn 4000 points (+3 points per $1)... plus 2000 points for my first dozen!!
