Qantas Wine latest offering

I noticed that if you buy wine for Epiqure you get Qantas FF membership for free https://www.qantasepiqure.com.au/about-us#complimentary-qff-join, could be handy if you have family/friends who missed out on the regular "join QFF for free" promos.
Was that always the case with Epiqure?

You have to pay the Epiqure joining fee to get QFF free. You can still buy from Epiqure without joining, but then no free QFF. I believe it's always been that way.

It would seem d'Arenberg shiraz is very popular amongst members. It's one of my favourite wineries.

For those visiting McLaren Vale I can recommend the restaurant at the d'Arenberg winery. We have had lunch there several times and the food is just fantastic

hmm, wording on the page is just saying "Purchase from Qantas Epiqure and receive complimentary Frequent Flyer membership,", no mention of having to join first, given you can purchase without being a member I think? The free QFF membership is also not listed as a benefit for being Epiqure premium member, on the same page, suggesting it's not linked.

That said, was QFF member and joined Epiqure for free, so never really checked.

Holy Moly - you're right. Actually, it seems even better than that - you just click the link and you get taken to a QFF sign-up page. Doesn't even appear to be a need to buy anything from Epiqure at all. However, given that just about half the Australian population are already members of QFF, there's probably not that many people who are in need of free membership (barring newborns and recent immigrants)

Really, people actually pay for QFF membership, not anyone I know!

6 wines for $99, no bonuses. I'm no connoisseur but this is getting in to my price range so would be interested in others thoughts.

saw that too, seems decent at that price. Just bought two 12 packs for the bonus points in the last month so not sure if SWMBO would appreciate more wine though ... :) But diverse selection and could be interesting to taste, all seem well rated so could be a good deal even without bonus points.

Not unsurprisingly, both the point offers are "sold out" - I longingly wanted to buy one or both, but changing businesses has dried me up of any funds until next week. Plus I will have to cellar them under my new office desk

A box of SB turned up today that I had completely forgotten I had ordered. I had to go back through my accounts to find I had ordered it from EpiQure on the 22/10.

Must pay more attention to what I order!
