Qantas Wine latest offering

Anyone seen last year's Qantas Epiqure Mixed Dozen Wine $258 + Free Shipping & $30 Chef Neil Perry Christmas Pudding (plus 5,000 bonus points), come back again this year?

The pud came in handy (NO. Not as a door stopper, to answer that question). Have I missed it?

I haven't seen anything along those lines yet.

My favourite (first) drink on board is always a G&T. Great palate cleanser.

Not quite a Qantas Points offer, but I know at least one martini loving AFFer that may be very interested in our announcement today...

Four Pillars Gin has collaborated with the Rockpool Mixologists to craft a limited edition gin for Qantas, aptly named the ‘Modern Australian Gin’.

No, as advised previously a G&T truly is my first onboard drink. One of those processes that I have had in place for 15+ years when sitting in J.

Pity that my desk in my new office is going to be smaller than my desk in my current office. Can't keep as many now :(

Ahh, so cleansing the palate of lounge-effects once on-board the aircraft

I am sure plenty of members here will offer to assist with that problem ;)

$2 more than dan murphy's now, but 5,000 points ...

I just noticed that I dropped to as just a regular frequent flyer member, as I joined more than a year ago. I don't think I receive any "your membership is expiring" email ... was I supposed to get one?

Is there a valid promo code for joining that I could try?

I just dropped as well, had no email and purchase quite a lot of wine from them this year.

I can still buy wine, why would I want to sign up as a member? (Paid or not)

A bit odd that they wouldn't want your subscription again. You can still buy wine, but only members get the 3 points/$1 - dunno what else you get.

Under My Account -> Profile, does it say you're a premium member? or just a regular member?

Email this morning with the Mumm offer and also saying that my membership level has been reclassified as "Premium".

Assuming others have received it, what level is everyone else? Just want to know where I sit on the "scales" and what they are.

I had the same email at end Oct but logging in now I notice that I've been reclassified as standard (1 point per $).
No notification either.
Pretty much settles it that I won't be buying anything further from them unless the price is extremely competitive.

you still get the bonus points (5K for the Catalina for ex), so it's not completely bad.

As for cost vs. DM - my basic reasoning is that DM would give me 1.5 points * price of wine due to credit card payment, for Epiqure I'll get 5K points + price equivalent in points + 1.5 points * price for CC payment, which would require at least $3,300 spend on CC. I want the points to upgrade the family on the occasional overseas trip.

For those of us not on the rarefied air of WP earning rates or with massive CC spend for work, that's good to take :)

That said I only buy if the price is OKish and there are points attached.
