Qantas Wine latest offering

Same, I took a case of Ned and Henry's. Was interested in the Baby Bush but the relatively young age of the vines put me off. Am I being silly? Please let me know what you think of the wine!

Will do, should arrive next day or two. Apparently much of the vineyard is now 18 years old, so not so baby anymore!

Might get a case of Miss Harry as well. Always a good 'un for a ready to drink cheapy-ish wine that's got some personality. :)

The Hewitson Ned Henry is great. Not overly complex but enough savoury chewiness to hold its own against a nice bowl of ragu.

Seems they're offering 3,000 bonus points with a premium membership at the moment.

At just over 3c a point....they're not cheap but better than nothing (and with the 3pts/$, it obviously goes down if you'll actually use it regularly)

I suppose everyone has been comped for next year

Comped here a few hours after I received an email from Amex telling me I can get premium membership due to my QF Ultimate card. I think I made one purchase in the previous 12 months.

Anyone know if the Wicks Estate Pinot 2016 is any good?

Halliday gave the 2015 a good rating, not sure about the 2016 but I ordered a case anyway It's still 'processing' at epiQure, will let you know when it arrives as I'll be cracking a bottle straight away.
BTW, just noticed Dan's sells it for $20 bottle, $19 in a six pack, so the 8000 points come at a $45-ish premium. Funny, the last few cases I've bought from epiQure were either more expensive at Dan's or not much cheaper. Mileage varies I guess!

There are some pretty massive discounts on Epiqure atm - not sure how many have become good deals but with free delivery some must be.....

Just some examples;
'10 Shadrach $54
'14 Dead Arm $42
'14 Rifle & Hunt Cab $24
'14 Moss Wood Ribbon vale Cab $30 +10k QFF points....
'15 Heirloom Coonawarra Cabernet $24
'15 Dandelion Magnum Lionheart of the Barossa Shiraz $27
'08 Flowstone Cabernet Merlot $33.24
'14 Houghton Jack Mann Cabernet $80
'12 Forest Hill Block 1 Riesling $30.50 + 5k QFF points

What worries me are the deliveries at this time of year. The last thing I need is premium wine sitting in some warehouse and or truck at 40° for days.

The wines look great but I think I will pass this time and wait for cooler weather.

I really try to avoid buying wine during the warmer months for this exact reason.
