Qantas Wine latest offering

Update: Checked my QFF account today (Wednesday) and the points for the ordered I placed last week (Friday) have posted.

One other data point that I think is worth noting is that in general it's always better to order the points erm I mean wine over the phone than online since the agents have the latitude to provide additional bonus points on top of what QF Wine offers. Additionally, the agents have some flexibility in the size of the "phone" bonus points they offer you. When I ordered the 20 bottles of wine over the phone I was offered 10,000 bonus points. I pushed back and asked if they could do a little better. They said they would speak to their manager and get back to me. Sure enough they came back with 15,000 point offer which I grudgingly accepted.

My wine has not been delivered but is expected on Friday, but the points have just landed into my QFF account.
Agree that speaking to them directly is beneficial, I now have my own "Private Wine Advisor." 🫠
Enjoy your litres 🍷@kangarooflyer88!

I have always ignored the call as they call me every 3-6 months but will answer next time and/or call them directly

As I thought Qantas wine delivery of Blue Pyrenees Richardson Shiraz 2018 arrived today at 3pm after sitting in truck all day at 35+C. Will see what it's like or if it is heat damaged.

Don't get too down about it. Whilst there are some nice wines in that dozen, several of them pop up in deals all over the place following a "high-RRP but constantly on sale" model that allows companies like Qantas Wines to advertise this dozen as "70% off".
whats the latest offer?

Update: Decided to buy 12 bottles of Yalumba wine today for $480 to net me 22,400 points + 2000 bonus points for ordering over the phone + 500 bonus points for it being a sustainable wine for a grand total of 24,900 points (works out to 0.192 points). Not the best deal but importantly it lets me get to points club plus and also lets me earn a leaf towards earning Green tier status this year.

Yalumba Barossa Valley Cab Shiraz 2017 back online - 12 bottles, 24000 bonus points + green leaf.
10% points club plus discount + $50 voucher brings it down to $382.
Purchased via phone - additional 3000 points offered per case (if buying more than 1 case)

Without a URL, posters make things unnecessarily difficult. I'm seeing $240 for 6 bottles and 10,500 points:

This wine is $20.90 per bottle at Vintage Cellars (not sure of year though)!

This is arguably the best option at the moment for bonus points as that's 24,000 points for a case of 12 versus 10,500 for the same wine as a case of 6. Additionally, this wine will earn you one leaf towards green tier and if. you have green tier you'll earn an additional 250 bonus points on top.

I think you might be missing the point here. Many of us could care less about the wine on offer. Instead what matter are the bonus points, as this route can often be a more lucrative way of buying points especially when stacked with other bonus offers (i.e. green tier bonus and bonus points for ordering over the phone, etc.) Indeed, a problem some of us now face is how to dispose of the wine efficiently, particularly if you we are buying wine at a rapid rate.
Different wine in a different bottle. It’s not the Samuels Collection; meant to be a declassified Signature. Bottle says Barossa Valley Cabernet Shiraz 2017. Has been on oak for 22 months.
Correct. And some of the wine on QF Wine is exclusive to them as well. If your interest is in simply getting the wine you want at the cheapest price, Qantas wines is probably not for you. Where Qantas wine excels (IMHO) are the bonus point offers which when combined with a wine at discount, can represent excellent value for buying points.

Relatively speaking the points per $ are quite good but I personally do care if the bonus wine is reasonable value also…🤨 (says someone who’s only ever done one true SR back in the day of JASAs and DSCs - once was enough…).

Meanwhile, they’ve obviously picked up a consignment of Yalumba wines intended for export that they’re trying to clear. I bought a case of the 15k bonus the other day and the wine is under cork - an obvious sign that it was intended for export. But still decent wine and an unexpected Green leaf.

Today is one of those rare days when the cents per point ratio drops below 2 cents.

Buy Magarey Lane Glenroy Coonawarra Shiraz 2016 | Qantas Wine

$450 for 24,000 points
Slightly less points per $ but could be equally interesting. Can’t go wrong with McLaren Vale Shiraz!
