Qantas Wine latest offering

Yep- they explicitly stated that any wine subscription would not count towards the triple points promotion but they still did- just checked my account and voila. A Domestic return flight just on top of a dozen of (really nice) Aussie reds? Count me in!

As long as you don’t need customer service, Qantas wines is the best points collector ever.

So you applied for the quarterly wine subscription and they attributed 3x the usual points? Thats awesome, I might just sign up if true!

If you are a fresh subscriber to one of those, it's actually "official" that you get triple points on the first box so yes, definitely. For me, it was the second box which "officially" shouldn't count towards the triple points offer but still did. I've subscribed to the "Big and Bold reds" and really love the February selection, some lovely drops in there!

It says in the terms, so do wines with bonus points also get triple?

Offer will be applicable to the first case in a Wine Subscription if purchased during the promotional period. All other cases in a Wine Subscription will not be eligible to receive triple Qantas Points.

Yep, that’s what it states. But mine was definitely not the first case and I still got the triple points. Very happy 😃

The site currently says Triple Points on everything (accepting the footnotes say different)

It specifically says allowed on the subscription wines however doesn't state for other wines that already have bonus points.

We have the premium reds & standard whites on subscription.
1st Feb release, the whites delivered today efficiently as expected.
The Reds have been recalled, there sitting in Oakleigh (mel) now, just few Kms from our home. Went post office this arvo, they noted it was 'recalled by sender's so something's gone wrong & it's being returned back to Qantas HQ.

May dial QF Vino hotline to set what they got to say. No biggie, but bit disappointed.

So if you were to subscribe to the "Wishlist Reds" that includes 30K points per delivery, the bonus for the first case would be tripled to 90K points? This seems too good to be true...

Triple points is not on the bonus points, just on the dollar value of wine purchased.
Ok, the discussion of the wine subscription stuff made me think that maybe they were different somehow. It sounded too easy.

Followup;

My premium reds subscription has been recalled by Qantas, case heading back to Leppington, NSW.
Spoke with QF Wine, they are hopeless, all they refer to is Aus Post website, which I can see, couldn't shed any more light on situation.
No idea why it's been recalled. How is it possible that QF Wine can recall a case, yet have no idea it's happened or why, nothing on their records.
My QFF points have been recalled.
No idea when/if I'll be delivered actual wine I've ordered.

They couldn't even see that's it's been recalled, just redirected to be addressed, yeah back to NSW.
I went Aus Post to find out more than QF knew.

Bloody basket case.
Zero communication might add.

I do wonder if perhaps the box was physically damaged, potentially with bottle(s) broken, and Aus Post initiated the return to QF Wine as a result? Or Aus Post contacted the sender with the news it was damaged and the sender (QF Wine logistics department) said to send it back to them, which was described by the computer system as being recalled?

of course, it they reship the order and it arrives soonish, you will likely never know what really happened. But fin to speculate anyway :). Lots of possibilities, even without becoming too conspiritatorial.
