Qantas Wine latest offering

I'll admit that I skimmed past that post this morning and didn't click the link, now clicking through it does look the same as I posted this morning .

I'm a fan of the Balthasar in general and the bonus points offer is tempting me. Has anyone here tried the 2012?

No problems at all, was just thinking that there might have been some more deals and that I too missed a new Epiqure email.

Is yours cork or screw cap? Mine is cork.. I read a thread on a wine forum where people think that 1) Penfolds are purposely drip feeding stock and 2) the cork stock were meant for overseas delivery but were "redirected" due to local demand.. the cork is getting some "bad press" for some reason.

Cork is usually for overseas markets. When I was living in SG, I could get the same vintage Aus wines in SG and London with cork that were selling with screwcaps in Aus.

Tried the St Henri 2010 at the Langtons Classification VI event recently, and I can't say I was overwhelmed. I hope it gets better with age. The 2010 Elderton Command shiraz was better IMHO, at a similar price point.

My Peter Lehmann dozen has been dispatched and so have my points :D:

I ordered the St Henri but the 2,000 bonus points did not post (as above in QF WP's statement). I rang Epicure and was told they would probably post ion a couple of weeks. has anyone else not received their bonus for the St Henri?

Amex centurion have an offer with Langtons if anyone's interested spend $500 enter code CENT150 at checkout get $150 off. I've just bought 24 Mount Langi Cliff Edge 2012 @ $15.75 each
I don't see how they can specifically identify Centurion cards so it may well work with any Amex charge card

That's a very good price for a very tidy wine!

They have arrived - disappointed with the generic boxing - surely they could have put Peter Lehmann on the side

Surely it's what is inside that counts? I quite like anonymous boxes since it doesn't advertise the potentially valuable contents to those who don't need to see it.

Especially when your numpty courier leaves the box on your doorstep in contravention of delivery instructions. Apparently the Taittinger wasn't that appealing to all the train station traffic going past.

How do I know what I have got until I open the carton - what happens if they packed the wrong contents?? If it wasn't for the 4 letter code on the side...

I've now opened it and it does thankfully have the correct contents...

I would go there in person and have a word. August seems like a good time
I like your thinking ;)

Precisely my point! Lucky you didn't lose your Taittinger, that would have been devastating!

Even a branded box might have the wrong contents inside. You never know......
