Qantas Wine latest offering

I'm waiting till tomorrow to take advantage of a double credit card points offer for March :D

Don't buy it all before I can place my order please.

I'm out, so you can have my half dozen DeKa.

Mrs LW isn't much of a Champagne drinker and I fear would spray the first mouthful towards the ceiling and the second mouthful would be full of words aimed squarely at me :o.

I guess like some of the words I heard last night when I got home and explained that the sealed box delivered during marked "taittinger" did in fact hold 6 of the same bottles rather than a mixture of different bottles. I did think SWMBO was a bit calm when I was calling in.

We had the 1st bottle of the Duval blend with our spag bol last night. Most enjoyable, an extremely well blended wine which is very much a "drink now" wine.

Interesting. I had my first bottle the other night too. While drinking quite well now, this certainly has the stuffing and balance to go another 10 years easily IMHO.

Thank you! Mine has already shipped... I did order at 5am this morning though.

Interesting ...

SWMBO was emailed promoting the 3K QFF bonus offer for 6 Billecart-Salmon at $435.

An hour or so later I received an email promoting the 2½K QFF bonus point offer for 6 Vueve at $330.

So is the consensus that this is worth doing? I buy a fair amount of wine and am looking for a good way of leveraging it into points.

Made good use of the 1000pts/case that came from Cellarmasters recently but am wondering if this is a better option? Have previously used winedirect.com.au with the 5pts/$ bonus with Amex but they have been so frustratingly slow to post points.

Just not sure if this is worth the $99 join fee? The wines generally seem pretty expensive.

For a start see up thread for the current discount code to join for $59 and still score a gift. Wines are not the same as Cellarmasters and Winedirect (which are both Woolies) as they both use house brand labels, whereas Qantas use real labels and much better quality. If you look at the festive dozen it's $150, so for $600 you get 52 bottles of mostly top notch wine, 1800 normal QFF points and 10000 bonus QFF points. Once you hit 4 doz I recommend using a family members account to purchase and take advantage of the welcome bonus, and keep an eye on the weekly specials, good wine, good price and great points haul when they offer bonus points on top of the welcome bonus, the best being 8000 for every two dozen!

There is a $59 joining offer at the moment. I can't remember the code. But it should be around here somewhere.

Here: #98 I think I saw this code in the mag this morning.
