I'd never really witnessed the overhead space issues until a recent flight on AirAsia SIN-KCH. I (unknowingly) had priority boarding as I had an exit row seat pre-booked, so got on and stowed the bags. After us came the rush as people tried to stuff their oversize carryon anywhere they could. As I normally board last I'm really glad I had PB and that it worked as advertised.

You're right... I've avoided these threads previously so god knows why i'm venturing into the fire pits at this late stage... ignore me ;)

I disagree with your opinion on this as it really annoys me, particularly on a 737 with the battle for overhead locker space.... But I love your avatar ;)

What is priority boarding? Be first onboard all the time or board at leisure?

We all can't be first onboard all the time. There is a general queue now so do we people want a second queue for priority boarding as well?

And if board at leisure then there are issues when aerobridge queues back up.

Premium Boarding means having two queues - a red one for special peeps and a not red one for general boarding - you just like they do on int'l QF flights. That way you can either be first on board or wait until towards the end and stroll on past the queue.

@bigjobs Thanks for the contribution ..........

as a non-coughter and, tracebook user I simply send an email to qantas if I am peaved enough or even remember.

The worst PB experiences for me are always international boarding not in Australia, they really CGAF about it.
