QantasLink acquires 6 more A320s to based in PER due to surge in demand

What matters I suppose is whether they refurb the interior. As others have said, if they keep the cramped seating Spirit is known for, this will definitely be a negative compared to the Boeing 717s it is replacing. On the other hand, Qantas could take this as an opportunity to reimagine the cabin interior and could provide something that rivals or perhaps is even better than the present 737 offering (i.e. IFE screens at every seat).
They're more replacing the F100s than the 717s.

If you feel like a flight to Broome early morn on 31 Jan you can check it out :)
Guess we will see shortly then.

Couldn't find any seatmaps on the QF website even guessing a few URLs.

Looking at QF1652 on 31/1 Qantas is showing No Business Availability, but does confirm A319.
Expertflyer seat alerts shows an all economy A320 config but rows 28-30 are X'd out.

Have you tried flying Alleigant?
Once. On a MD90.

The overhead bin wouldn’t shut so they taped it shut. A oxygen mask randomly dropped a few rows ahead as we approached the destination. The Cabin Crew said ‘yeah they always do that’ 🙃

Fair to say we said never again. Sadly I won’t get to experience their Airbus Jets which I am sure are a pleasure to fly on. 🤣

Yes but how was the legroom? 🤔

VH-8NP entered revenue service today, it's currently doing its second return trip to sunny Port Hedland of the day.

A319 reservations are now showing on various flights to north-west WA as well, seat pitch is listed as 71cm.

Keen to see if they kept those awful Spirit seats or not!

VH-8NQ

What felt like the shortest take-off from Per ever.
And as always the most picturesque landing into Koolan Island. Pretty happy with the amount of leg room and seats are not that bad! Pretty stoked to have finally flown on an A319 even if it's not one of the brand newies.

Thought I’d add in a few photos of the A319 seats. I just had a 2hr flight in the exit row seat - row 11. Some thoughts - very similar to the A320, the seat back pitch felt slightly better than the 320. Also the inclusion of the netting behind the seat was welcome considering many 320s have very inadequate storage behind the seats.

The normal seats aren't that comfortable much tighter than the ex JQ A320's, the tray table literally sits on your guts and im not even a big guy so seen someone tryig to eat their 'coughpers and salsa meal' and wine and tray table was at an angle - really not ideal the config they have gone for.
