I’d say it’s line ball with QR and QF

QR definitely ahead when QF is busy. QR never is.

Oh and the Singapore Sling is awesome!!!!

I really liked both lounges, and I think they're very comparable too, I feel the Qatar lounge is a no brainer if you're traveling on a oneworld cabin in J with no status.

Both lounges had high quality a la carte food, however the QF lounge was Asian/Western fusion focused and the QR lounge had your typical upmarket classic Western fare, with some classic Middle Eastern dishes thrown in. QR wins in the self serve department though.

When I went, the QR lounge was very quiet despite their being quite a few oneworld flights departing within a few hours. Having said that the QF lounge was also quiet, although I visited that one earlier in the afternoon.

Decor and seating seemed equally good IMO. The walk from the QR lounge to my gate for a QF flight was a good ~10 mins longer then it would've been if I had used the QF F lounge.

Overall I'd probably choose the QF F lounge while I'm a WP. However, if I ever lose OWE status it would be the QR lounge for me.

QR was definitely busy last night - I had to wait for a table at 6:30pm.

Mind you by the time QF2 had departed, the QR lounge had emptied somewhat. (QF First was busy as well.)

I got there shortly after 6pm and everything was available. However, noticed that post 7pm many dishes seem to have ran out .

Excellent hospitality as always.

Exactly what I was thinking, seems quite poor to run out of multiple meal options 1 hour after their official opening time.

OR: Arrive at SIN in J on OW and depart SIN in Y on OW I did that before and no problem accessing QR Premium Lounge

I gave this a try the other night and no dice. Arrived QF J and departed MH Y and was directed to the Mahaba Lounge. Obviously just went and had about 5 courses in the QF F lounge but would have been nice to return to the QR Premium Lounge.

No issues a few weeks ago. I was on QF J revenue ticket but my partner was on a QF J award (both printed on Bangkok Airways ticket stock too) and no issues.
