Due to tech reasons QF has cancelled my flight from SIN back to PER. Looks like aircraft never left PER. No.back up so eventually re routed via SYD on AY metal (although rubbish seats)...long wait and SYD and then to Perth...so about 16 hours later than planned for a 4 hour flight. God.love you QF for more cough.....🤭🫣

Just think of the status credits and you’ll feel better.

Looks like VH-EBL had been scheduled to operate but hasn't been deployed elsewhere

Flight was good actually and the seats were fine, far enough away from loos and no waiting traffic. Full load. AY crew were as efficient as normal. Think most people seemed happy enough. The good thing about the seats is that you can recline and bother no one. I think the recline was good. Usually I'm in business class on AY so it made a change. Even slept for 3 hours! Now the fun begins and then west again heading in QF 737 (how nice🤭🫣)...eventually!!

Presumably you originated in SIN? I noticed your handle though and thought at least worth asking if you were connecting from QF1 from LHR?

I was actually routing SIN-PER with PER final destination.

Tough luck then, if originating on same ticket in Europe likely you would have been eligible for compensation for the delay. Or maybe they would have you on SQ to avoid that compensation.

I know. Nothing here in Aussie ..when a four hour flight or so turns into a 24 hour marathon. And now the SYD to PER flight is delayed!! They are really a joke ....yet they fill the seats. All the earlier Perth flights are rammed.

PERLHR, at the least you can be our "guinea *ig" as to the int - dom transfer at SYD T1 to T3, and if you have lounge access, moan about how bad the lounge is, and it needs an upgrade, and how badly it needs it.
Y on a 737, I feel your pain.
===
I can forsee that this will be a troublesome thing, for QF on the PER - CDG run/er, flight.
If the outgoing 787 is cancelled, or late, the flight coming back from CDG - PER will be affected.
Unless they put pax on AF/BA to LHR and add them to QF9 coming back to PER.

Now that you mention it.....the lounge chairs look older than some of the QF flying fleet! Ah the transfer. Well, let me tell you....we were in a rather large line to transfer across but once they decided to fully operate priority lanes it worked quite fast. But yes it was a very long Q. Standing room only on the bus across as we weaves our way across the apron to domestic. Yes the pain of Y in the piggy is very much alive. 🫣🤭

I have always wondered why QF never put bendy buses in place for the SYD T1 to T3 and back trasnfers.
I think in years past, was it SIN or KUL had them, or overseas has them, to get people from gates to planes at remote stands.
QF is happy to have people standing on those, buses, and chocked full
Yes, I have used the buses several times, but now that I fly VA sometimes ADL - SYD, I get the Sydney buses bus, or the train across.

Re: the lounge furniture, QF can claim that the operators are supposed to do the cleaning, operators (being I believe Accor") can claim that they do not get enough funding to do deep cleaning of furniture, and its up to QF (former) and now SACL as current owners, to renew furniture.

QF649? It may make up time enroute...
Yep that is it ...hopefully time will be made up..at least for my sanity....thanks for following the "saga"...🤪
