Well done PT. !! And Qantas too!

was the final itinerary the one Qantas initally offered you or did you have to negotiate a bit?

was your experiencec dealing with Qantas customer care a smiley face one?

I phoned 3 times, due to system not up to flt change until today, I think. Each agent was very helpful. They asked me what I wanted & made it happen. :D

Red Roo I would really appreciate your help. I really want to fly the direct dfw flt.both ways. I phoned platinum line today, they weren't aware of change and asked me to phone back tomorrow, as they weren't sure there isn't a direct flt. to dfw on a Tuesday, although I told them there isn't according to media release. I understand they have to check

I'm sorry I wasn't able to get to this in time, however glad to know that our Premium Desk have you sorted.

In case of schedule changes such as this, we do our best to proactively contact impacted customers (often via email and/or phone calls) as soon as possible once the new schedules are published. This includes internal messaging to the wider travel agent community.

However bookings are usually actioned in chronological order, with imminent travellers reaccommodated first. Of course, passengers are welcome to contact our 24/7 Reservations team at their convenience for updates and details as per the guidelines available to all our Contact Centre staff.

Has anyone been able to work out the impact of F availability to Hong Kong?
I have RTN on 127/128 6 Oct/12Oct which is still showing as A380 both ways, with a valid upgrade request to F from J. Will be decidedly unhappy if it changes to 747...

Really. Cry me a river. As if the F seats on the 744s are so terrible! Sometimes the endless complaining about equipment changes is pathetic. Yes, there are differences between seats, but to be 'decidedly unhappy' because the F seat is slightly older, but still fully lie flat, plenty wide and long enough and with the exact same service is just complaining for the sake of it, IMHO.

It's a present for Mrs Colster... she has never flown J or F, and so the added bonus of the 380 was the specific reason I booked 127/128...

If you get these "assurances" from anyone at QANTAS then I'd say they're worth about as much as Ansett Global Rewards points...

They are in J with an upgrade request for F for that flight. If they remain in J on a 744 with F, they have the older angled skybed, which is a fair enough gripe.

Looks like QF are running some supplementary services on Tuesdays over December/January in and out of Dallas on QF7/8. Just noticed them appear in E/F.

I wouldn't waste points (x2 for the OP) upgrading into one of those old, filthy, clapped-out F cabins.

Yes and no. I agree the A380 is a far superior product but I'd still take anything in F over old J.
I have a points upgrade request for QF127 next month. Wouldn't want Shrek to get lonely down there

Has anyone managed to find any F seats on DFW-SYD for next year ?
I tried looking for April and couldn't even find one seat...
