Johnk would the new 330 J Seats change your outlook?

It is not business that worries me.
The 747 has around 8 aisle bulkhead seats in economy that are not bassinets. The A330 has 2 and they are vastly inferior.
I said business doesn't worry me. It is fine. But I am going to book a business award SYD-HKG on 747 and then HKG-BKK award on RJ A330 and get to BKK 8 hours later than the direct QF SYD-BKK in business? It means I get Chiang Mai the next day but so be it.

It's hard to answer such questions until they are actually available anyway.
And talking about nails, SQ will have Y+ from next year as well. It's funny that QF was one of the first to have Y+ between AU and Asia, and soon, it will be the only airline that doesn't have it on quite a few Asian routes. I certainly hope those seats are making this worth it in terms of revenue where they're being deployed.
In economy? Without status?just fly thai and be done with it
In economy? Without status?
No thanks. Visiting my dentist for 2 fillings tomorrow and if I can somehow avoid that I would do it without hesitation.
Qantas bulkhead economy has been fantastic. No other airline comes close.
SQ will only have it on selected aircraft (380 and 77W). They fly a number of other types to AU, so they will have quite an inconsistent offering that being the case.
Hi
First post!
I need some advice: have booked an AA award BNE-MEL-LHR return for next March/April with the old timings in mind. Obviously we now have the choose of sending all day in the Flounge (if it's open) or looking for award seats on a later flight from BNE to reduce connection time. But coming home, we'll land in MEL too late to get a connecting flight home. I had already booked the 9am MEL-BNE flight assuming a 5:10am arrival into MEL, and now we'll be arriving late the night before, I assume (hope) I can keep that flight booking and just go to a hotel near the airport for the night.
Does anyone know if this is what happens with overnight connections, and whether the fact that it's an award booking makes any difference? Also, will our checked luggage remain at the airport overnight? I know this is how JAL does their overnight connections at NRT en route to Europe.
If anyone knows I'd appreciate some help.
Thanks
Dragonair seems to be adding direct HKG-CNX flights on an A320...
Might be worth checking before wandering

Seems like the non-stop QF8 DFW-SYD flights are now available to book on the QF website (at least for some dates). On the date I'm looking at, Oct 25, departs DFW at 21:15, arriving SYD at 06:05, so a total travel time of 16 hr 50 min. 16 hr 55 min on some other dates.
Thanks to those AFF who replied to my earlier help post re syd-Dfw now flying 6 days but not my booked award flts. I phoned platinum line, before it was up on system. Now all changed, no cost, heard "it's our change, no cost to you".
I expect this to be my last o/seas for many years, wanting it all to be smooth sailing.
AFF members are great.
