Re: Multi-million dollar Qantas upgrade - Eggplant economy and charcoal business

It's a shame the 737's didn't get the new seats/IFE like the new BSI birds

Re: Multi-million dollar Qantas upgrade - Eggplant economy and charcoal business

The cabin divider is a little 'different.' Manages to keep the worst aspect of the curtain (ie still being fairly 'in your face') whilst gaining little of the advantages of the 'mini-bulkhead' divider that VA use (which is equipped with clothes hangars).

or the disadvantage of taking up a lot of extra space. QF uses a cupboard for jackets.

Would like to see it in the flesh but I always though the curtain didn't look that good and as serfty says was an annoyance to Row 4.

I assume the bin in the first pic can be opened, seems to be some sort of folding mechanism built into the perspex support.

QantasSource shows VX-VXC was in Brisbane from 6-Dec to 11-Jan, so seems the refurb went on there.

Re: Multi-million dollar Qantas upgrade - Eggplant economy and charcoal business

The curtain at row 4 is a PITA

However on Flyertalk there is talk of no divider between the cabins, so people in Y are using the J toilet

This is NOT good if this is the case

The FA needs to make it clear that the J toilet is for J ONLY and it needs to be enforced

The plastic divider that VA use is a great idea

Well it is just a trial of new overhead bins. But maybe the older 737s will get hand me down iPADs when some 767 leave the fleet !

Re: Qantas 767 Upgrade - It's happening!

The dividers seem to be what let the refurb down.

However the extra row of business probably makes copying the VA divider close to impossible because of the amount of space left. I was never too bothered by the curtain, so am not sure how they could improve that.

shame the refurb doesn't include AVOD, or does it?

The overhead bins look to me like those on the BSI 737 - hardly a trial in that event. :D

Whilst they may look the same they are different. Qantas is the first airline to get these with the a/c being used for certification and evaluation.
