Book, book, book away .... just before the federal government 50% subsidy scheme kicks in
You can certainly start from HBA if you wish. Some will do a positioning flight perhaps as a Classic Award to get access to the better status runs for their needs.thanks for your recommendations , i was due to start Hobart last year . no problem in starting elsewhere, i guess i will have to total up the sectors for my to reach 350 with minimum $$ , then find the planes with lie flat beds on these routes
What! I just made a booking this morning, using flight credits. Gaaaah!
If I cancel and rebook will that work?
My takeaway from points 1 and 2 is that I should be good for DSC. I made a booking today (25/3 - point 2). I registered after (so before 30/3 - point 1). I sent a message to QF too
well there is no international flying.
Is this (eligibility for SC) based on the time of trip or time of booking? e.g. If I book while not a PC member but by the time the trip is taken I become PC member. Will that work?
Perhaps it will be a bubble.I think NZ is much closer to opening than you may think.
I know that is usually the case, but the terms and conditions for this offer quoted by OP in post #3 say:Don't take a flight credit as you keep an existing booking reference and hence won't earn DSC. Cancelling outright may work but its doubtful that you could get money back in time to take advantage of this.
Yes I don't understand your reference either @RichardMEL? Could you enlighten us?Huh?

I would not be at all surprised if you needed to manually email/call QF to followup your case if you tried to do it that way.So that looks to me like you would be able to use the flight credits for DSC on this occasion.
I think he's trying to say that he'd be surprised if QF's IT systems enforced all the rules specified in the T&Cs but YMMV. Elaborating further would risk drawing unwanted attention to this.Yes I don't understand your reference either @RichardMEL? Could you enlighten us?

It is why I am looking for the cheapest flight from to any location. I have already been advised that routing can be changed you just need to pay the fare difference. So if I read this right - if I make a booking before March 30th, and change that booking to somewhere else at another date but still fly before 28/2/22 I'd still get the DSC ?
Or am I understanding that wrong?
I booked MEL-ADL for $109The best I have found at the moment is MEL-LST at $109.
Do those flight credits still get DSC when rebooked?
It is a punt that I will most likely take.those who have an interest in knowing will already understand
