Had a friend wanting to book MEL-AKL return for 5 pax Boxing Day returning 2nd Jan. whY fares on the usually suspects are circa $750 return sans baggage. Managed to snag EK in J on the QF site MEL-AKL on Boxing Day @ $440 each. They'll be slumminksng it back on Jet*.

That's a sharp price. Is that the usual sale price for crossing the ditch ex MEL?
I have no idea. A lot of the Y prices on QF were more than the J.

9.30am is not too bad. Can stay overnight at Rydges Int then cross the road in the morning for champagne breakfast in the F lounge
