QF No Longer Printing FF Number on Boarding Passes

Last weeks travel on the same PNR:

QF405 Syd-Mel - No FF# shown on BP
QF79 - MEL-NRT - No FF# shown on BP
QF4024 / JL711 NRT-SIN - FF# shown on JAL issues BP
QF2 - Sin-Syd - FF# show on BP

Trying not to think about this too hard but could this change be an Australian only change as a result of QF signing up to whatever the Australian variant of GDPR?

QF can't control what other carriers put on their boarding passes. As for Just Australia, no, it will be worldwide.
Like it's been stated, just needs to be done in stages.

Any international flight, and indeed just about every place for domestic travel except AU and NZ() have an ID check of some sort or other and so you'd need a name on the BP to satisfy that, let alone all the other good reasons already given above.

AUS is still a relative (nice) anomaly where you can board a domestic flight without any ID check whatsoever to confirm you are who you say you are

(note: IIRC a few months back it was mentioned by the Govt I believe they were reviewing this as part of Aviation Security reviews).

Just had four flights and QF number still on all boarding passes

1 domestic flight early yesterday with a change of seat done in service connections at Melbourne and FF number on the BP....

OLCI and digital BP - no FF number, just QF/OW status with OWE logo and "Express Path" (with Express logo)

Checking in BKK-SYD-MEL and first time not getting FF # printed out.
