QF now the 13th most distrusted brand in Australia (Roy Morgan)

And that in itself shows how garbage this "research" is.

QF is the dominant player in this market and thus is subject to most of the media coverage - like BA in the UK, AA/UA in the US, NZ in NZ. Wouldn't surprise me if 80% of the respondents don't even hold a passport.

QF stories get clicks - yet when there's similar issues on other airlines, it goes unreported. QF travel credits? No mention of VA travel credits (that are still set to expire this year). QF chairmans lounge? Most people don't even know VA have an equivalent that MPs are also members of (Beyond). QF cancelled 10% of SYD-CBR? Absolutely no mention that VA cancelled 10.5% of the much higher density & more frequent route SYD-MEL; and their OTP is now 59%.
Absolutely nothing but crickets in the media about it.

It's like politics, some people can't fathom how others vote for the other side, yet they do. People still seem to be flying QF. I'd welcome it if others swore of flying QF and leave the cheaper fares and award seats to others, but I don't see it happening.
The survey is based on consumers in a face to face interview. Not on media stories. It is your bias that is showing.
And just look at the share price since announcing a record profit. Going down, down.
As I have said on many occasions I left QFF in 2006. I left QFi for good in 2014. I just don;t understand those that think it is great.

The media influences what people think. I thought that part was obvious. Many respondents are probably not frequent flyers and base their opinion on what they hear in the media. Don't underestimate how powerful the media is, we all saw that during covid.

As for your last comment, I already answered that in the last para of the post you replied to.

Just fly with whoever you like. We don't all have to convert each other. I couldn't care less if people don't fly QF - hell - the minority of my international flights are with them.

ACCC alleges it receives more complains about Qantas than any other Australian business.

I don't think its an allegation. Just a statement of facts as to what they receive. Irrespective of the size of or type of business, its something you don't want to the 'first' in.

I can just imagine the yes men (persons) at Mascot telling the boss

" Don't worry! Its just a media beat-up! People love us!"

"Don't worry! Coles and Woolies don't sell airline tickets! People love us!"

And the band on the deck played on ...

Down, down, share prices are down… Qantas hiring Coles Marketing?

but not about the fact that they receive more complaints about Qantas than anyone else.
Lets see if both parties agree on a Statement of agreed facts and if the complaints are as the ACCC says they are. I don't doubt the ACCC they would not make a public statement like that without the facts to back it up but would rather see it confirmed

Why do the people surveyed trust Woolies and Coles so much? Woolies treat their staff horribly, but I guess you can trust them to profit whilst jacking up prices and screwing over our farmers.

I don't put much stock in these rankings.
Trust from the consumer point of view. We don't know how the staff are being treated, besides a cousin who once worked there in the fruit and veggies section. He said it was OK.
