QF now the 13th most distrusted brand in Australia (Roy Morgan)

Not yet , he leaves on Wednesday.
Will VH change the culture in the Ivory tower at 10 Bourke St?

There might be impromptu celebrations happening at QF facilities……. (I doubt SYD HQ)
Says a lot about the culture when the staff are actively celebrating his departure

With Elvis leaving the building, they got a share price rise, but it's looking like a dead cat bounce.

The trend is your friend and this looks like it will continue.
I suspect the big investors are talking with the chairman and he will be out before the AGM. With Vanessa Hudson up for re-election at the AGM I think she will have the shortest tenure of any QAN CEO. No price rise until at least one of these eventuates imo.

Oh, and the view from a fund manager, from The Oz on-line:

Can't argue with that. $6.40 would have been a very good place to bail out.
Only time I ever hit the apex was AMP. I sold at the high for the day/year, $21 odd, after which it dove for the ocean floor. Stockbroker goaded me if I was so smart pick the buy back price. Being coughy I bought back in at $9 odd. Bugga.
But yeah, $6.40 would have been nice if you were the AFF fella who bought at $1.

I recall that an AFFer bought Qantas shares @ $1 each a few years back. How good is he?
My last share purchase was Qantas, a significant number at 95cents. Sold half when they reached $2 and the rest some years later when I completely exited the share market for good.

I doubt I'll ever match that one.

Wasn’t there a “let’s all buy Qantas shares” yonks ago?

We need a new thread for “Let’s all sell Qantas shares”.

Isn’t it only the NEDs up for election? And only a third of them (roughly).

VH has a board seat a CEO, unless QF operates differently to other ASX listed companies.

My mistake, you are correct, however I understand Ms Hudson will stand for election at the AGM, not re-election.
However good she might be she was still a member of a board that allowed a scandal to unfold.
