QF "trust us" letter

BTW for those who didn't get the email (subject title "Getting back to our best" it's answered wha subscription it falls under:

You have received this email because you are subscribed to ‘Flight specials, news and updates’ emails.

So I guess for those who didn't get it, check your comms settings.

(I feel its a bit poor. I mean I see flight specials and I think more spam potentially so probably would opt out. As posted earlier there seem multiple categories that would have fit this email tbh)

Received a survey in my inbox this morning regarding these 'incidents'. Perhaps QF are trying to work out if they actually have an issue with public perception.

Was asked such questions as -
  • Have you heard about any recent safety events?
  • Which specific events were these?
  • How do these events make you feel about the safety of Qantas?
  • Did you know airlineratings.com has named Qantas the safest airline of 2023?

I'm not surprised. If one watches the video that was linked in from the email with a couple of minutes from one of the fleet Captains and some other people I forget it was all about making the safe call on returns/diversions etc, that lots of airlines have returns daily and you know we're safe, QF has a unique operating environment, oh and how most of the maintenance is in Aus (but some rather clever wording I must say) along with pictures of engineers with QF branded headgear and such doing their thing.

A definite offensive to counter the public perception
