Here endeth my First Test attendance but what a great two days. I'm going to miss not being here tomorrow as I would normally but certain to be here for next years Ashes Test - glad it's back to a November start

As I left the Club, ran into the current CEO Lachlan Furnell and gave (plus got) some good feedback. Looks like a refurbishment is on the cards which will open up the Club (taking out the bar in the middle).

Also got my hands on 2 bottles of the Torbreck dessert wine. Happy days

Great to see that Australia wrapped it up - imagine the consternation if Pakistan has got up - may have been the highest run chase at the Gabba IIRC.

Just not a fan of Smith. I think he lacks a true cricket brain. Can hit the ball ok but doesn't inspire as a leader. Too much sooky stuff happening. Sadly I could say the same about all captains since Steve Waugh.

Related to the second test, but why does Nic Maddinson get yet another chance, when Callum Ferguson was shown the door so quickly? Guess I have to ask the selectors!
