QF1/2 F pax experience through SIN

In SIN they just brought around "champagne" and offered it to guests sitting in the white seats. They also offered the salt & pepper calamari

In Nov, as a F pax, i got no special treatment whilst transitting on QF 2...I went straight to the showers on arrival, and after the shower, as I could find no vacant seats, I just sat in the reserved area. Someone came to chase me away, so I just flashed my F BP, and she said I could sit there and asked if I wanted a drink, and asked me whether I wanted one of the 2 (standard) dishes of the day (no S + P squid)....a completely underwhe/ming F experience!

Underwhelming is the very definition of QF F I reckon.
I might be in a minority but S+P squid would make it even more underwhelming to me.

Hope this question goes on this thread …

I'm arriving INTO Singapore via QF1 as a F pax.

Then I have a flight from SIN to Jakata some 9 hours later at 07:45 hrs. the next day, but only in Economy with Jetstar Asia ( but was booked as a connecting flight, to follow on from SYD - SIN. )

So question is … will I get QC Lounge access at SIN ? ( and if so, are they open all night, and could I stay all night ? )

( and if so, are they open all night, and could I stay all night ? )

Only if a QF flight is seriously delayed!. Have spent the night in the lounge once, on JQ8 to MEL which was delayed to 5am, but QF1 to LHR was also delayed to 4:30am, so were able to stay in the lounge for most of our delay.

Ta for that.

I've heard there are a few 'sleeping' options available.

I'm anticipating being totally 'waisted' upon arrival at SIN …. after drinks before and during my F flight on A380.

You can check in anytime in SYD so if you fancy a spa treatment, book an appointment with the lounge desk as soon as you get there... Enjoy!

Actually as F pax they will be called prior to the flight and offered a spa booking time.

You check out any time you want but do you ever really want to leave?*

*Apologies to The Eagles.

Are you saying, it's like the Domestic QCs … you can spend all day there ( flight that day etc. ) ??

But can you check in your luggage before going through customs ?

I'll be in the F lounge on the same afternoon but departing MEL so I'm glad I won't lose out to @Rick93 on the spa...

Yes, at SYD airport check-in opens from 4.30am and the F lounge at 5am, so you could really make a full day of it if you wanted.

Many sleeping options.

The one we did last month was the old Skyview Lounge. Plenty of seats, power outlets and generally quiet. Daughter couldn't sleep so took her to the childrens play area.

I've been in the SIN lounge three times in the last fortnight. One time the F host escorted me from the plane into the lounge and to the showers; the other two times he was escorting CLs. Yesterday, there was another CL-tagged person, who didn't get an escort, so I don't know how they decide which CL to escort if there's more than one! The other two times I was escorted from the front desk to the showers.

All three times, I was then escorted from the gate to the plane on the way back.

Yesterday, there was a reserved seating area in the restaurant section next to the showers, which I don't remember seeing before, and I was encouraged to sit there after my shower.

While the lounge is always busy in the QF2 direction, I think the people who work there are fantastic. It's like they have an encyclopedic knowledge of your previous visits, and ask you if you'd like to do whatever you did the last time - e.g., would you like to take a shower if that's what you always do. And they remember all your personal details. Yesterday I asked the host in the restaurant if she could remind me where the chemist was, and she took me all the way there via the staff lift!

Back ON TOPIC, wondering if any F pax have recently been offered champagne other than Taittinger in SIN..

We hope to experience the new F lounge in January, assuming it’s open. Do you think it will be restricted to only F passengers as is the recent trend or will WP etc be given entry? Assuming of course, it’s finished in time.

As a P1, travelling J PER-SIN I'm always asked if I would like the "Taittinger and a cheese plate"
