QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

Any P1s? A more substantial gift, or something additional? Would have done Qantas a lot more good than we mainly reward flyer bludgers.
Yep plenty of P1s on my Social Media.
Nobody has anything above the 75SC/5000 points offer.

I have already more than requalified P1 two months into my new year with the 1800 rollover.

My offer was 75 SC. I've been sitting on 1360 SC since May with my anniversary end November. I have been looking at booking a cheap Max bundle on Jetstar to make Platinum and now this has saved me a few hundred dollars.Screen Shot 2023-08-24 at 20.20.43.png

Mrs ChrisMars also got 75/5k. She only flew awards (Domestic and International). I am wondering why some get 75 and some 30.
Those with 10 or more Qantas marketed and operated flights since July 2022 received the higher offer.

Wife and I both 75/5000 with 24,862 kms. Both chose the 5000. QF Gold with a March anniversary, however made the decision to not chase QF status earlier this year and happy to slip to silver and (probably) eventually bronze. Would have retained if we hadn't flown with the competition for the past 5 months but TBH it's great not being handcuffed and selecting flights purely on times and price.

Is it explicitly stated that you can choose until 30 August at 23:59?
I can't find the time mentioned anywhere.
On the Qantas homepage, if you click on "Find out more" when the "Thank you for flying with us" banner comes up, it give the deadline as "Choose your gift by 11.59 pm [AEST] 20 August 2023."

I wonder if anyone has noticed but you can't load teh Qantas App onto older phones. My old 5 year old phone can't download the app. Luckily my new phone does. Both my wife and I received the gift and are accepting points. I don't need the SCs a s I have qualified as far I'll get this year and my wife has no hope of getting to Gold, so points it is. I will have to login on my phone to credit the points to my wife's account.

So is there any reason this could have been pushed to the app without a forced update?

No new permissions are asked for, but wondering if QF added any new 'features' to the app that mean they need to give a carrot to users to update?

Probably just a capability gap, most apps especially airline apps are under funded and just rubbish. Just see Bonza, when they try to load multiple new routes at once, you need to update the app. Jetstar kicks you to its browser.

The American carriers do apps very well.

How can this BS marketing exercise garner 200+ posts in one day?
1,000 points redeems for me at ~$12-15. I might get a better return for my time elsewhere.
Yeah, nah

This must be part of the recent announcement about Qantas profits.
