QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

Nothing for Mrs Happy Dude or the kids. The kids have absolutely nothing in their activity history. The Mrs has one redemption for her father and a bunch of EDR points. We took some Finnair and Emirates reward flights in July, booked from my account, but those are yet to show as activity even though all had QFF numbers added.

Wondering if there's a distinction for rewards flights booked for yourself with your own account or those booked by someone else.
bAlt got the 75/5000 and all of his flying was on rewards seats booked by me

Yes, I have DSC availability for both carriers, so it’s a toss up. Maybe one each way.

I really need to check all my family’s emails to see if any of them qualified as well
I've not received an email but was given the offer. But I'd rather my upgrade request today was granted given there are seats available 😩

I am happy with this offer, the 75SC is going to tip me over WP requal by 3SC. I won't have to think how to requal for the rest of the membership year. A bit of a relief for all the troubles the last few and coming years. Ok, now let's call Qantas and find out what's going on with one of my refund.

My points landed. The effective date is today (I selected yesterday), so possibly some hope for those trying to drag into September. The activity date was the day of selection.

They have also counted as non-flying PC. 🥳

Interesting, both myself and my wife qualify, but no offer yet. We have both upgraded the app on Android phones. Anyone else in that situation ?

Cheers for the info.

Time to have my SO try to claim last minute and hope it rolls into Sep. Im trying to talk her into trying for gold next status year so every bit helps.

Sorry for any confusion - I just realised that the date is the posting date, there is no other date displayed (used to looking at flights that have both the date of the flight and the posting date).

I looked into the code, and unfortunately for some it is tied to the day of selection (or possibly everybody gets the day it was offered):
  1. activityDate: "2023-08-24"
  2. activityType: "ACCRUALS"
  3. category: "OTHERS"
  4. date: "2023-08-25
So I think that rules out any chance of dragging it into September.

I selected the 75 SCs yesterday and today it showed up in my account. The date shown both in the app and the website is today's date (August 25). Maybe somewhere in the backend it shows the date selected, but I would be surprised if Qantas didn't honour those status credits on the day they appeared. Certainly in calling Qantas you could make an argument that they should appear in your account for the new year since they appeared on the first day of the year. I do, however, find it very underhanded for the promotion to end on the 30th. There are clearly some people who would greatly benefit from having the bonus points post the next program year as it would give them a head start and incentive to fly more to earn status.
