QFF Bonus Status Credits/Points gift on back of Aug 2023 profit

As a gesture of our thanks for making us part of your travel plans over the past year, and to celebrate the 47,871 kms^ we've flown together, we would like to offer you a gift of either 5,000 Qantas Points or 75 Status Credits
I was going to lapse from Gold to Silver, but Qantas seem determined to keep me on board. I should requal for Gold with the SCs from Points Club for my upcoming reward flights

75sc in the bank for partner and myself. She re-quals for silver with more than half a year left, so a good shot at gold if we do a couple more trips. I retain WP though still have until November so somewhat inconsequential but a nice present nonetheless...

49 000kms or so on QF metal (plus another 37 000kms on OW partners and EK).

I also got the 75/5000 offer. Not sure what I will do. My plans to requal for WP by 31 Mar have been totally destroyed by the surprise leukaemia which has put me on no travel (due to immune compromise) for 6 months from treatment which will start in Oct - so I will have to cancel my DSC trip to Japan and will now fall about 400SC short of requal. PITA as I have/had big travel plans for 2024 and wanted the benefits of WP for all that travel. Arghhh. First world problem I know, but….

off thread, but does anyone have recent experience in how I might go calling Qantas and asking for consideration? I’d pay the point fee (used to be 120k I think) given all my upcoming travel for 2024 If that’s still an option.

PS edit3d to add already LTG

138,000+ kms (many in long haul economy...) and also 5,000 Qantas Points or 75 Status Credits. Helpful towards LTS/G but have achieved platinum with no chance of hitting WP, would much prefer these came once my next year starts...

Edit: Mrs Excel with 37,000+ also offered 5,000 Qantas Points or 75 Status Credits. Due to timing this will possibly get her to SG immediately and possibly WP before year ends.

Clearly I did not fly enough for them to bother stating the distance 😂
"As a gesture of our thanks for making us part of your travel plans this past year, we'd like to offer you a gift of either 1,000 Qantas Points or 30 Status Credits, that can be redeemed via the Qantas App"

For those that have made their selection, could you kindly post back when the reward appears in your account and the date it posts under? 🙏
Me too - I got the email but can't find it in my app. I've logged in and out twice, still can't find it

Got the 5000 points or 75 SC's. Might go for the SC's if they count towards lifetime?

>20 QF flights and the email says ~30k km's. Surprised it's that much really, most of my long haul flying this year has been with other oneworld carriers.

Also received that offer from QF the options were 75 status credits or 5000 QFF points. I chose the status credits since it's trivial to earn QFF points but not so easy to earn status credits. Sure I don't need those status credits to qualify for Platinum this year, but it will mean I will earn Platinum earlier (i.e. by the time I'm in the US for my trip in October if everything remains the same) or hopefully my JQ flights from DRW to SYD cancels or schedule changes allowing me to swap that into a connecting flight to earn 60 SCs instead thereby allowing me to enter the QF Flounge at SYD for my trip to DFW.

5000/75 offer off the back of 28 flights, mostly BNE-SYD-BNE and 26,439k. I went the points as I have enough flights in train to requal this year.

The T&Cs state that "Gifts will be credited within 4 business days of selection."
This could be a boon for those whose program year ends in August. Simply select the bonus status credits on August 30th and hopefully they credit in the new year.

I am obviously less loved by QF than many others. Only offered 1000 points or 30 SC. As SCs are pretty much meaningless/useless to me, I opted for the paltry 1000 points, which I assume will not count towards PC+ qualification.

Left me very much underwhelmed.

A notification is also displayed when logging in to the desktop site, directing people to the app for the bonus.111824082023.JPG
