you just know that something is really funny when you laugh out loud at it when you are sitting by yourself.

I think that we (+ others both on AFF and the general flying public) have a common problem here. How to exclude JQ flights from QF searches???
This cannot be a difficult change at all. But I think QF is doing it intentionally to confuse some people into choosing a JQ flight instead of QF metal. By the way the difference in price from QF2 to QF266 is negligible but the service and reliability is chalk and cheese.

We can only pray, but l honestly can't see this happening as JQ are now talking about flying to Europe/USA with the new 787's once delivery starts. If anything, JQ and QF will get even more integrated.
I simply do not care what JQ is doing. As you say if I want JQ flights I will go to the JQ website. Yeah like that will be the day.

The reason I go to the QF website is to choose QF and possibly Oneworld flights.

Managed to put it to FB. Hope this works.
hehehe
Can someone please post this photo as my computer cannot open the Facebook website?

We had the Double SC Scheme / Survey , not so long ago. I Am aware that most of the Ideas & Suggestions discussed here were in some way covered in the survey.

Just wondering if there have been any noticeable changes / improvements in the QF Product / Brand / Customer Service after the survey.

One idea which l am not sure has been put forward is the redemption of vouchers.

1) In the past, l've had to cancel multi-city bookings for some reason or another and have been given a voucher for x amount of dollars (the original value). When l go to rebook, l can only do a point-A-B flight (no multi-city allowed on re booking?). If the original booking was multi-city, why not allow a multi-city booking to be redeemed? (all on QF/BA metal)

2) Recently, l had to cancel a booking that was worth $~2300 and when l went to redeem online, the cheapest booking for the same sector was $3050+. I called up QF and said that this was crazy because l was looking at the same fare once l logged out for $2300 infront of me, yet when l logged on to redeem, the cheapest that the QF search engine could give me was more than $700 expensive.

How about upgrading FREQUENT SPENDERS to Silver, Gold etc once they reach a certain level of accumulated points . Irrespective of whether people fly on QF or spend money on their QFF linked card they still make PROFIT for the QFF program and I am sure that lots of FREQUENT SPENDERS make lots of money for QFF:lol::confused:.

I hope this was tongue in cheek (that's the problem with the internet, it's hard to tell).

If you want to be PS, SG or WP and you're a "frequent shopper" then buy JASA's and burn your points that way.

Don't further 'enhance' the program.

Hi

Partly serious...every dollar of profit has the same value.
What is the JASA ?
Thanks

Except that profit only happens when the point is redeemed, not when it is earned by spending on your credit card.
IMO this is why any seat awards now earn SC and points. To give spenders a chance at status.

JASA - business any seat award

Because the benefits of status are for those who actually do fly. Ie. Frequent Flyers.

For Frequent Spenders who accumulate lots of points, the benefit is that they have lots of points and can fly for free.

And with lots of points means that you can fly premium classes which gives u lounge access and other benefits which usually come with status.

As others have mentioned - use your points for JASAs if you want to earn status.

Also remember that Qantas (the airline), and Qantas Frequent Flyer (the points vault) are separate companies.

The points from the credit card go to QFF. But Qantas provides status benefits.

When you redeem your points - they are transferred like currency to Qantas to "purchase" the flight.

So just because you have a gazillion points, Qantas has only been paid for 1 flight.

Whereas status holders have paid Qantas for lots of flights.
