QFF Platinum requesting release of extra Classic Reward seats?

It will depend on the route. I have requested x3 J seats on numerous occasions. From memory AU to NZ and return (WLG, CHC, ALK) were normally bot approved. Routes to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada and the US were sometimes bot approved but normally required a manual review. These were normally for school holiday periods requested a year out. I was P1 at the time, I am yet to try my luck as a WP.

Oh well! Was worth the shot.

Which class? I4 doesn't bode very well for J, but I'd be somewhat more optimistic about A7 for F...

Was for J release (edited the post to add that). Yeah getting an F release might be doable :)
I wish you luck. I tried for multiple dates (very flexible) in April/May and also Sept/Oct for 1 x F or 1 x J on QF1/QF2 without result. The A and I numbers were high, which the agents acknowledged, but I was told that the allocation was exhausted on every date tried.

Is there any likelihood of requesting 3x seats and having success do you think? (Even if it was in Econ)?

I've had success with as many as 6 J seats on QF11/12 and as many as 4 J seats on the B789 North America services for a platinum, so it is possible. It's route dependent though - some routes are effectively capped at 2 J seats. Some services also have blackouts.

We have been using CR (Z) seats for SYD-SIN-SYD to allow us to connect to EK for SIN-DXB-xx_-DXB-SIN (in J). So rang for release on QF1 third week in October '24 with all PE buckets 9. Instant approval. Then booked the EK flights and needed to circle back for SIN-SYD at the end of Nov '24. Both QF2 and QF292 (the AY aircraft) had 9's in the PE bucket. QF2 rejected, QF292 approved.

Did the same for our flights to UK last Christmas, as a way of chewing through the points. On both of those flights I had upgrade requests in (PE to J) and they were approved. This time will just stay with the PE seats to see how it works. But no doubting the WP request system has worked for us for the last two big trips.

Called this morning looking for 1 x J SYD-PER on Sunday 7th April 2024.
QF645.
Showed decent numbers, but computer says no.
Might try and call again in a day or two...

WA school holidays from 29-Mar to 14-Apr, so might be a bit harder to get in & out of PER on awards, through that period
