re: AKL Dinner 7 March 2015 [1 Space Available]

What flights do people seem to be taking out and back (ex-MEL)?

re: AKL Dinner 7 March 2015 [1 Space Available]

I'm likely to be out via SYD well in advance, and flying out nonstop to PER.

For those who wish, feel free to post your flights. I will tabulate them so we can see who we may sharing our ride across the ditch with.

Please move me to Platinum, I have my flight down booked (exact details to be determined but I'll be there one way or another).

I think you win the prize for being the farthest from home :p :p

Will be good to see you again if I make it to this do, otherwise I'm sure we'll run into each other somewhere :p

Great to see! Can't wait, even though this is still a few months away.

It is pretty tough to be further away from Australia/NZ than the northeast US without going into the wilderness :p. I'll be down for late December-late January again though for a solid month, I'm sure we will run into other somehow. I'm still trying to work out heading up for the SIN DO, but QF is stingy with award space in January into or out of Australia . I'm looking at MH or other options.

I snagged one of the elusive QF A380 F TPAC awards :), one that will get me into AKL 2 days before or so. Damn near perfect timing. I already had the return booked out of MEL for later in March so all set there. Just hoping now that QF opens SYD-AKL so I don't have to go LAX-SYD-BNE-AKL (two long bus rides and no SYD F lounge access! The horror!) or LAX-SYD-WLG, then WLG-AKL on either NZ or Jetstar or maybe even train (my currently booked selection, thankfully EXPs get free award changes!). Also saves me from those obnoxious BA fuel surcharges on awards going the long way via Europe like I did last year, and transiting LHR .
