That said, we should do an AFF pilgrimage to Sichuan house one evening for the famous prawn and crab stack... Chilli lovers only ;)

I usually have the braised beef with rice for lunch there.

+1

And the rule is to choose only items with 3 chillies from the menu :)
I usually go to Dainty South Yarra but will be happy to try new spicy places.

Dainty is a little more "refined" where as Sichuan House is more "rustic".

Both have great food at cheap prices IMHO...

I like your thinking!

Speaking for myself..... The Hotter.... The Better when it comes to Chilli !:p

My hangovers need curing before lunch time 

We can have "Hair of the Dog" before Yum Cha on Sunday if you like.:p

No Excuse.... we can fix that hang over or better still..... give you another one:lol:

Don't know... My clothes surely don't have a "refined" smell after I eat there :D

LOL, well true... Although I remember Dainty as being slightly nicer inside...

I like this idea.

Also, have we made a decision for Sunday?

I have had good yum cha at one of the branches of John So's restaurant, but a different one to the one Bill recommended.

FWIW, at this stage I am happy to follow the group consensus... I am currently not sure where I am flying...

Are you ever sure? ;)

I'm going to head into Town shortly ( in the next 2-3 hours) & take a reconnaissance trip to hunt down a shortlist for Yum Cha on Sunday.

If you have any suggestions or places you want me to check out let me know.

Regular MEL Yum Cha Event [TBC: 23rd March 2014]

Have a look at Shark Fin Inn at 50 Little Bourke St. I never been there but heard it has good yum cha.
