i can see it now ... 15 individual tables booked by 15 individual AFFers ... each getting their 100 qantas / dimmi points ...

sorry to burst your bubble.... T&C's say that you only get points for people that show up. and no points for extras not on the booking.... AND they can ban you if you are a no show 3 times

100 points per person. and if you are going there anyway, you might as well collect them. the same points as speding $66.66 on my AMEX! it would work really well if you are going to book for a large group.

I do loads of entertaining so this is going to be fantastic.

Hello points!

Serfty is not talking about scamming the system, he is referring to a possible AFF get together where each member would book their own table to get their 100 points.

Communicate via a dedicated thread for the night.......first person to talk to another AFF has to pay the bill for all!!!!!

You say that like it'd be hard to be antisocial :p

I've been to many an event where looking around the table will find everyone on their phones.

Re: Qantas Restaurants

Thanks. Hadn't seen the email. Also use Dimmi. Maybe this will be more successful than qantas's last attempt.

Re: Qantas Restaurants

Got the email this morning. I note with interest that the associated web page states "Book restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and cities across Australila." Now I realise why we don't have a J lounge in ADL.

I'm not sure you get your Dimmi points AND your Qantas points. I think it is one or the other depending which web site you book through.

I agree, it appears to depend on whether you go through the qantas portal or direct on Dimmi. Its one or the other.

I think it's an improvement if the points post promptly. You'll just have to hang onto your receipt until the points credit. Under the previous program, how many times did you go to a restaurant only to have the excuse "the machine's not working." etc when you tried to swipe the QFF card? You'll be relying on the same restaurateurs to accurately count and input the number of diners. However, the Dimmi system is pretty efficient, so it may not be an issue.

Yes, I was wondering how the diner count will be relayed back to QFF. Will restaurants do this properly? What evidence will we be able to retain from a booking/receipt to prove the number of diners when something goes wrong?
