7.30pm sounds good
I have kids - no problem for me if a 10 yr old comes along
Beer if eating Asian food rather than BYO wine makes sense to me.

Should a separate thread should be started?
Some locals may not monitor this thread if they are not 'Returning to Rockford' - I vaguely recall FroggerADL mentioning interest and CaptJCool is usually up for a meal somewhere.

I will start a dinner thread later tonight...

Wonder who is going to win the Door Prize...?

For the sake of simplicity, please confirm that I am not attending.

With a recent bereavement in my family, I have to change a lot of my travel plans to support the family and I'm unlikely to attend anything social for a little while.

!

Sorry to hear penegal, hope to catch you when times improve.

Condolences mate. Take care. Catcha

(??? more chips for me)

Drinks - Collins Bar Hilton Adelaide...?
Dinner - Wah Hing Restaurant...?
Show of hands of those interested before I call to make a booking...

Myself and Mrs G. are willing to try some Chinese food. Count us in.
Will use of chopsticks be compulsory? If so I'll need to get some practice in

Sadly I'm going to have to pull out of this - very busy week with work commitments but will definitely try and get to the dinner

Sad to hear you are unable to come along VPS, I know the feeling with work commitments.
Hopefully will get to meet you Saturday night.

Checking the wiki, there is one last spot available should anybody like to join us.

Flights booked JQ down at 4:45pm April 1 depart 2nd 6:30pm on QF
Paid the $123.50, I guess I am going.

Now to work out where to stay.

WOW, another sold out event. Thank you all for your support, all I need to do now is deliver the goods.
I can confirm that everybody's payment has been received.

During the next few days I shall post confirmation of pick up time and location - I just need to confirm with the coach company. For those that have attended previously, we are not using Corston on this tour as it would have increased the ticket price. We still have a 50 seat coach and I'm sure all will be OK.

Well, all I can say is that I'll be overseas for this, which is lucky .. I already have 3 visits planned, and its getting expensive!! (I won't give the exact dates as it appears to be a Stonewaller invitation)

BTW, on the members page of Rockford, this was posted earlier this month:

Our vintage crew have been busy preparing the winery for weeks and anxiously waiting for the first load on grapes to arive in the courtyard at Rockford. Thursday 2nd March was the day and young Foxy was very keen to fork the first load into the Bagshaw crusher. He was hard to miss - that lurid pink singlet ensured he wouldn't be lost!

Since the 2nd March there's been a steady flow of fruit coming into the winery. Our picking crew are methodically working their way around the vineyards as they ripen to carefully hand pick our grapes and have them arrive at the winery in perfect condition, ready for the winery boys to begin their contributions to vintage 2017.

There's no better way to appreciate why we maintain the best of the traditional wine trade than to stand in the courtyard and take in the sounds, sights and smells that vintage at Rockford creates, so if you have a chance to visit us before the end of April, you'll be able to share in the joys of vintage at Rockford. Cellar Door is open 11am - 5pm 7 days a week, so we hope to see you soon.
