Revamp of Shop and Earn

So do I but I bought them to get lots of cheap points, not to litter and irritate people.

Don't worry Ian Kiernan wouldn't have been concerned with our strategic placement of the sticky notes. The girls cleaning our rooms thought it was hilarious and we tipped them for their trouble.

Irritating my mate was just a happy upside of the cheap points.

Had no idea there were such lucrative offers up there. No wonder people are p***ed!

They won't be too p***ed! They were short term, poorly conceived concepts and despite me and +1 talking about milking the proverbial, we decided it was possibly unfair on small retailers and chose not to. Had I though it was VA up for the points, well then, I'd have been up to my family jewels in sticky notes and useless photos very rapidly ! (My conscience has limits after all ;)).

I have come to the conclusion that these shopping sites for miles are bunk. Not just Shop and Earn, but their US and UK equivalents - getting any miles from AA's shopping portal is like extracting hen's teeth.

Don't even get me started on letting Woolworths track all your shopping habits for a few measly QFF points over $30.

Vistaprint is listed on the NASDEQ and has a market cap of $1.8b USD....

I have mainly used it to buy things from apple.com like my mini-mac, iPad and a few other things and the transaction has posted within 1-2 days of shipping with the point crediting almost exactly at 60 days everytime. For iTunes the points usually show and credit to Velocity within a few days for me.

Both the Virgin and Qantas one.
Signing up to one path or ANZ Qantas life and income protection insurance will give you 20,000 after 6 months. Signing up to Virgin money life will give you 10,000 after 6 months.

I never really have any problem with Shop and Earn in terms of actually getting the points credited (although often very slow to move from pending). One place it really works is if you/family/friends buy loads of Apple products (where there isn't much price discounting elsewhere). Can also get away with buying my own computer/phone for work and getting reimbursed.

I've earned more than 230k points (have another 100k pending right now after recent promos) through the portal so far by being strategic about when to buy (and admittedly I'll pay a small premium through Shop and Earn if the price looks reasonable to what I can find on Google).

So far that has purchased me a J class ticket SYD-LAX return and SYD-AUH - so well worth any small price premium. But I tend to save up purchases to put through them when they have promos on.
