Rockpool Bar and Grill Lunch with QFF confirmed attendees

That is daylight robbery. I can see why people are mentioning pooling for taxis.

They used to sell the tickets in bulk for roughly a 10% discount but that seems to have stopped. If going there more that twice a week (one return) then a weekly ticket works out pretty good value.

But yes expensive. One thing the Last government did right was cutting the gate fee on mascot and green square. Now I only the current mob have the balls to cut it from the airport stations.

Attn all lunch attendees: Check your PM's when you get a chance and get back to me.

Per my post last night, have been conversing with Uber's Sydney GM, and they've come to the party (and then some) for the AFF crowd.

Good work! Uber seem to be doing a bit of this lately - they were part of an event I went to on Friday too, offering free trips up to $40.

No need for me as I'm just a few blocks away, but I hope everyone enjoys their Uber ride. :)

Cheers,
- Febs.

QF have confirmed no stretch hummer for me - I might need to reconsider my attendance ;)

As mentioned in the other thread I am the lucky 21st guest.

Flights confirmed and travelling on same flight as the others. Trying to sort out seating as I know these flights are not eligible for SCs and QFF points but without my QFF number in booking I may be sitting down the back or worse in a middle seat.

You should be able to include your number for ineligible flights. They just credit with zeros.

I don't think Emily Howard and I are in the same camp. I mean boat. Sorry, I mean plane.

Changing the subject hurriedly, it'll be my birthday that day. 31 again :D And at least one of those statements is true.

Well, I expect you to all have a toast to those SPECIAL AFFers  celebrating their birthdays that day, even if they are not in attendance . . . we are such delightful people and deserve recognition..!!!

I'm now flying over the night before. A PH on Monday here means that flights are heavily booked Tuesday morning.

Hmm I can't select a seat. But I'm really really hoping there's an error and SCs are earned! Anything get me closer to WP!

*back off to dream land*

I know I can include QFF number but these flights have been specifically booked without out QFF numbers even though the person booking the flights knows our QFF number.

What have others done with their bookings? Have you put your QFF number into the booking or do you just accept the lottery that is OLCI?

I'm not flying so cannot answer but TheWinchester should know as he was on the QF booked travel at the last lunch

For those who want to meet up in the morning before heading to Rockpool, those overnighting are staying at:
Sofitel Sydney Wentworth
61-101 Phillip Street, Sydney NSW 2000

I suspect we'll be hovering around the lobby from sometime around 1100 AEDT for the same pre-lunch banter before heading over. Feel free to wander over.

I added my number. Can now see the booking in "my bookings"
I've not done this before so not sure what's next

Not yet. But I suspect I will need to use the plat call centre. The seat selection option on my booking appears to not be working.

See if you can access seat selection on rj.com with your booking reference.

I'll just take my chances on seat allocation. Being a SG, I know row 4 is not a possibility, so big deal from there.

I called QFF premium today about seating. I explained the situation and they put my QFF number into booking with notes to say that it was done for seating.

I now have 9C on the way down (row 6 window was available) and 26B coming back. I am more than happy with those seats under the circumstances and will take my chances with OLCI to see if I can improve.
