Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

So I have my Philips Pasta maker and now I am after a bit of info !

What types of flour have you tried and were they successful ? And do you always use an egg/water mix ? or just plain water ? and who has tried carrot, beetroot or tomato juice ?

The 00 pasta flour from the supermarket gives a really good result. I also find the Coles brand flour works well, but the Woolies Homebrand flour is a disaster. I always use the egg/water mix (though when I do the large batch I still only use one egg, seems to give a better result). Havent tried mising in any juices yet.

We did make noodles sans egg for a stir fry once...

Our airfryer has arrived! Looking forward to trying it out. If anyone has successfully made crisps style chips with it, let me know.

Slice up your potatos, give them a rinse to remove excess starch, then dry them with some paper towel. Toss them with no more than a tablespoon of olive oil in a bowl and season them slightly with salt (you can also add after they're cooked). Throw them in the Airfryer - I do everything on max temp and just check them after however long, say 8-10 minutes. They might take up to 15 or so but checking them as you go especially for your first time is the best method. Have fun!

You have to try a roast chicken in there next time.

Had a blockage in my Dyson stick model today. Thankfully I cleared the obstruction of bits of paper, pop corn and dust in the head...

Found a good little video on youtube with some suggestions.

I have been using the small air fryer a while now and love it! Crumbed chicken tenders and marinated chicken thighs were fabulous and so quick with minimal wash.

I acquired a Phillips pasta maker for my household after reading all the glowing reports about them in this thread - we are also very happy with it - thanks to all.

You'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Well I'm pretty impressed with the V6 Animal. I thought our carpets were pretty clean (given they're 30 years old and we have three animals in the house) but the dirt in the barrel proved me wrong  So much hair and dust! Hopefully that leads to a slightly less sneezy life.

Its a little embarrassing on first time use.

I have been using a Dyson stick (DC59 Animal) downstairs for a couple of years and last month decided to get another for upstairs. I checked with Dyson that my accessories would fit the V6 and looked around for the cheapest V6 animal. To my surprise I found a V6 Absolute (one stick, two heads) on sale cheaper than the V6 animal so obviously I bought it. The heads are specific for hard floor and carpet, both are better than my old head. So I have put the new hard floor head on the old stick for downstairs and keep the carpet head on the new one upstairs. Bought it with an amex offer of $50 from HN and they threw in a case of wine as well. Bargain and the floors are cleaner than they have ever been.

We got ours super discounted direct from Dyson with a corporate offer.

We've had several Dyson vacuum cleaners over the years. When we moved into the apartment we gave our large upright to daughter and just kept the stick one. As it was getting on a bit, we bought the small ball upright which is great - full suction in a small machine. We still use the stick for in-between jobs though. I prefer an upright vacuum for carpet so the two we have suit us just fine.
And I was looking at the pasta maker but at the moment it's just as easy for me to whip some up by hand.
Not convinced about the air fryer though as I've heard they generate quite a bit of smoke and we have a 'hair trigger' smoke alarm
