They come with instruction on how to cook chip/fries in several ways. It depends on the chips/fries - if frozen/pre-cut, thick/thin or you are slicing the spuds yourself.I have just ordered a Philips air fryer thanks to the recommendations here. I am looking forward to trying it out. Any good recipes for French fries?

Air fryer? Must look into that. I usually fry potatoes in frying pan initially with a little Canola oil then just let them fry in the heat. Not soggy. A little crisp but that's how I like them.I have just ordered a Philips air fryer thanks to the recommendations here. I am looking forward to trying it out. Any good recipes for French fries?

Not defending the Thermomix or playing down the issues but reminding people that the Choice report does not refer to the current model. There are no (that I'm aware of) reported problems with the current model.CHOICE has reported 87 Thermomix faults to ACCC. In a number of cases the device has exploded spraying hot liquid over the person operating the unit with some cases of burns treatments lasting up to 3 weeks.
I see that Choice has presented a case to the ACCC about Thermomix burns:

Wonder if anything will come out of it.
