My son has been telling me about this show for ages. In fact he said it again last night. He was also the person a couple of years ago who said I would love a series called Game of Thrones. Bloodlines. And so on. Eventually I take note of what he says and end up hooked.

Late last night I saw an ad for the Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker:
Premium collection Pasta and noodle maker HR2357/06 | Philips

I may have been in a daze from the late hour, but I immediately wanted, nay, needed this machine.

Has anyone here got one? They seem to have resoundingly good reviews. We eat a lot of pasta and I enjoy cooking but have never gotten around to the ben-hur effort of home-made pasta so this sounds perfect.

Yes, though ours is not the new "premium" model. Absolutely love it, great for having fresh pasta any night of the week rather than only cracking out the pasta bike on the weekend and hand-rolling it.

BOOM. Getting one on payday methinks.

It's a fantastic machine. Have had it for 8 months now and it's used multiple times per week. Once you switch to fresh pasta, there's no going back to the dried stuff.

Also, if it hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet, the Philips Air Fryer is equally brilliant. Roast whole chicken in 40'ish minutes ends up terrifically juicy and tender. Great pair of kitchen appliances.

Made our first lasagne with it this weekend just gone. Absolute winner as you can make the sheets the required length for your tray.

Voila!

Last night made a lasange and spinach & ricotta ravioli, and tonight we made oxtail ragu papadelle. Yum!

(and a tasty red for a Saturday night!)

I mentioned it earlier but this appears to be the first subsequent reference.

One relatively recent purchase is a Phillips Airfryer - works great if you can run it under a robust exhaust fan. It has basically replaced our grill. It cooks bacon fine, does many things really well such as Chips, Chicken Pieces, even shaslicks.

You must have been watching TVSN !! I have a Phillips Air Fryer because of that show. I watched the girl demonstrate it for months, googled it and found heaps of people who love it and share recipes before I went out and bought one. Now I love it too.
Have been watching the girl demonstrate the pasta machine as well and I am getting one of those when we get back from this trip we are on !
Looking forward to using that too.

Excellent. Might get one of these when we get back from Europe.

Just be careful you keep the double 'n' in your pasta. :)

BC20 mentioned a $30- cash back early in this thread - not sure if this is the same one or different but Phillips are offering it now.

While we have one, we use it on the stove top with a decent exhaust fan running.

(Cooked some bacon this morning, 2 minute at 200ºC.)

Daughter bought one for her unit, but has to run it on her balcony since the smoke/steam coming from it set off her smoke alarms with attendance from the local Fire Brigade.

Interesting Serfty about the smoke/steam generated by the air fryer. I've looked at getting one but we have a very sensitive smoke alarm so think the best thing is to play it safe. Pity as I love grilled meat and we really can't use the griller in the oven as it smokes too much (and yes the oven is clean).

You'll find the XL air fryer (the larger one) produces quite a bit of smoke if you're cooking something fatty.

The smaller air fryer, the Viva, doesn't smoke anywhere near as much. Own both, and the smaller unit is also constructed much more sturdily.

Both great machines but the XL should definitely be used under a range hood if cooking a particular fatty cut of meat. And oh my, pork belly in the air fryer is out of this world.

I find it amusing to watch the TV show on it. SWMBO is like "how come their's don't smoke" - I say it's editing. She was not convinced until I pointed out that they were leaning on the top of one while it was "cooking".

I can assure anyone reading that no-one can lean over the top of one of these when it is in action - it's hot!

Speaking of Dysons - has anyone bought the AM09 hot and cold fan?

(apologies if canvassed already, I only went back a few pages).
