$ 495 for 1 toaster  or you could get 12 of these
We got our Dualit NewGen 4 slice polished a couple of years ago from Everten for $495 + postage...Peters of Kensington also carry them but seem to often be out of stock.
It replaced our Sunbeam 4 slice. The Dualit makes much better toast in shorter time than the Sunbeam ever did...but it isn't as 'automatic' as the Sunbeam as there's no sensor monitoring the toast, just a timer that you set.
So whilst very happy with the Dualit, I can understand others may not find it to their liking.
PS. If you get one, get some Silvo to polish off any spots/splatter on the aluminium that happen from cooking near the toaster.
Burgo
DJs just sent out a Dyson sale email; the V6 Animal stick vac is now $549 (and 10% less if you can buy vouchers through entertainment book). Oh the temptation.
But not with 10% off that?

Prices at The Good Guys are negotiable - go to a store or two and ask for the best price. Say you are willing to buy right now on the spot and see what they come up with. I have found they often knock a bit more off their already good prices.
This thread has made me consider a Dyson stick vacuum. Seems there are about 6 different models. What the heck is the difference?
Can the "stick" bit collapse of car cleaning purposes?
They do promise that their price is less, but they no longer seem to advertise as "less for cash" like they used to.
Plus DJs comes with QF points through the online mall...

So long as the online mall works. Didn't work for me with DJs 2 weeks ago even though cookies are selected.
My sister has a Dyson stick, so I knew it was good, but which one to choose !! I went to our local Good Guys on a Sunday ( the last day of their Dyson sale) I had in mind which one I wanted, but was very lucky that day there was a Dyson lady there to demo the models. She explained the difference between them, pulled them apart etc. There was another couple there watching her demo this to me and they bought one as well ! There was also a gift with purchase ( redeemed by mail) of a special set of tools. It arrived in the mail two weeks later.
Maybe visit either a Good Guys or Harvey Norman and see the full range.
Can you summarise the differences please? Is the different purely the attachments?
