Another EK flight has just left. Then it's QF9, an FJ flight, and the last one is a JQ to AKL. I take it that the lounge closes after QF9 boards.

Flounge closes at 22:45 (according to the website!). EK405 to SIN departs 19:00 - I was on that one. EK407 to DXB departs 22:25. QF9 departs at 23:35.

Operating hours for the Melbourne Spa are 07:00 to 11:00 and 1300 to 1900 daily.

The website's wrong again - surprise:rolleyes: . The First Host called me yesterday and offered me the first appointment when the Spa opened at 2000. I took a 2100 booking for a facial.
The last time I was here I had a 2130 appt.

"We keep asking them to change it" (i.e. the website), the First host told me last November.

Maybe tell them to PM Red Roo about it? ;)

Nah, they are too busy with really important things like application compatibility with the Apple Watch. The QF IT kids don't visit lounges, so anything to do with them is not a priority, or indeed important in any sense of the word.
 
In my experience, when RedRoo states "I share your frustration, I'll escalate this", you'll get an abusive email or phonecall from someone at customer care basically saying "how dare you second guess us".

A bit harsh IMHO :!:

Whilst I realise it is OT I'm sure everyone here is interested to know when you have had any abusive phone calls from Qantas Customer Service.

In my experience people use the words 'rude', 'arrogant' 'condescending' etc, to describe a Customare Care resposnse that didn't give them the answer they wanted.

OT but a good opportunity to expand my vocabulary.

I used both "rude" and "condescending" in a post recently about PER checkin staff demanding photo ID - what words do you use when someone is not pleasant and speaks at you like you are inferior?
 
I am reading this sitting at the bar in the QF first lounge in LA .... the barmaid just came up and asked if I wanted a refill ... its my 5th ot 6th in the last 2 hours (had an early connection) and I started to feel nervous I was going to be knocked back .. luckily RSA hasn't made it to the USA!
 
mmm ... good point ... maybe I have had enough!

that said on my way back from a conference in Vegas .. there are barmaids there!!!
