Ruminations from the Silver Muse.

Well we are not the people we used to be and there are many things that we used to do that are now out of the question. But we are enjoying travel in a different way to before.
Some very interesting people on board and friendships made.
And unusually many of us are enjoying spending time with a 9 year old french boy who comes to the golf putting every afternoon. Only 9 but plays in the Men's comp at his club and plays off a 19 handicap. but he is generally a very nice person mature beyond his age.
I have told him that I hope to live another 10 years so I can see him win his first major. Get on very well with a Scot couple. He is a golfer and is a member of St. Andrews. He has invited the lad and his father to come and play a round on the Old Course.

Our trivia team is a lot of fun. Called La Triviata. Doing well as well as having a lot of fun.
Enjoyment comes in many ways.

Thankyou for explaining that and I so understand. The kind of travel experiences have changed for you then. I must try harder to enjoy trivia. @love_the_life will tell you I misbehave.

On SS you organise your own teams. We try to have 2 Americans plus 2 from the UK and the other 2 for a team of 8 can be whatever. On this last leg we got chatting to an American surgeon who I got on extremely well with. They had 2 US friends with them. I went around to sniff out an Englishman. I went up to a couple and asked was he English. Fortunately he didn't hit me as they were Scots. Fitted in perfectly. So the 3 fellows became the 3 Amigos and we all participated in the putting challenge as well. A real hoot.
