Ruminations from the Silver Muse.

this building was the seafood restaurant of the Intercontinental but it hasn't reopened after the pandemic.DSC04177.JPG

Yes and fortunately she has forgotten that she had a problem.

I had an interesting interaction to day. On our excursion I saw a fellow with a very exaggerated limp. caught up to him and noticed gross muscle wasting around hips and shoulders. in other words a limb, girdle muscular dystrophy. Unfortunately for him he is only in his 4os,
I went up to him and told him he is an inspiration for me as I have a muscular dystrophy and really want to keep walking. I think he was very pleased to hear that. In fact when he had gone ahead his wife thanked me saying such a comment would really boost his confidence and mood.
Life can be very interesting.

Next it was many wine stalls. This just a short selecction. Wines from all over including Ukraine Georgia,Jordan as well as all the well known wine producing regions including the Clare Valley and one of the winemakers was present. this was the Clare wine.

Notice point 3 - all you can eat savoury pies. Would have appealed to a younger drron.
Then I tried to figure out what this place was. Turned out to be a wedding chapel.

More social distancing to cross the road to join the throng of Festival goers.

Passing the fun park I was in time to see a roller coaster ride. Full of the local folk there was only the sound of the roller coaster itself until it was just about to stop at the bottom when they all threw up their hands and screamed. Just a delayed reaction?

Then back to the little festival outside the hotel. They now had some live entertainment. I am not sure what these young women were going to do on stage.
DSC04271.JPG

This was probably a comedy routine due to the loud laughter from the locals. The one with the microphone is a local radio announcer.

The bar/cafe at the hotel was rather strange it obviously is mainly an afternoon tea place. a secondary use is as a place for desserts. there is a very short list of other options. So here is the menu.

So the aim was to keep your kayak between the ball and your opponets. the blue team was better.
