There is sooo many more pics, even had the in-flight supervisor taking pics of me just for fun, (wearing my non flattering SQ PJ's ) I guess because there was no other pax in our cabin, everyone was very relaxed. He even took over one of the suites to do his paperwork.

A friend commented "Bindi, you are the only person I know that can score 2 suites on every leg, 1 x sitting in, 1 x sleeping in"

Actually Cruiser Elite my ticket for all 4 legs is Suites/First Class (F) ......................I could not make the booking via website, so had to call them. I asked for R (for the extra points) but was told R was not avail on my chosen flights.
Bindi this was commercial tix as opposed to pts rdpts? If YES I don't understand why R not avail for pts?

$14,000.00 ish paid on my credit card, (amex for the points) no FF points used. I did get the feeling that the lady I was dealing with on the phone was a newbie.

The original booking was an open jaw, returning from LHR, but when I could not get all the Doctors appointments in the one week, I had to return to Zurich, so just called up and had the return journey changed so the booking ended up being a F SYD return ZHR booking.

The only thing I was adamant about was getting a flight with the "suites" not an open cabin.

OK fully understand now - R bookings 300% KFpts / F 150% - understand why you wanted R class - did you check pts earn and post?

But I just do not understand how you can book Suites that are not R - anybody else shed some light? I will clarify this with Crystal as soon as I can catch her at work.

Edit: Just checked SQ web site and it appears Suites can be R, F or P - well I never!

Thanks Bindibuys for a great TR and absolutely sensational photos. Thank you for taking the time to post the effort is very much appreciated.

I have only just had the opportunity to read the thread. It just makes me want to go, and yes I am saving hoping to get suites on points.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share with us Bindibuys, awsome photos too.

Bindi I just got off phone with Crystal at SQ call centre - here is some more info on your F v R booking class for last year. If you make original booking online - the system will show you class that is currently available for sale - see here this example SYD-SIN-ZRH next year:

Suites Class.JPG

Can you see it booking Suites into (P) class? And you can see the cost in AUD for that flt in that class. KF pts earn rate for different classes are here:

SQ Pts Earn.JPG

Now if you want to get (R) class to get 300% KF pts earn you must call up SQ in SYD and request higher cabin class - there will be higher cost and availability is limited and varies route to route etc. There is also fee USD50 to go through this process but if you ask nicely they will almost certainly waive the fee. How much higher the fare is I do not know. All of this is totally new and foreign to me - I don't pay for commercial tix so basically no idea. This prolly doesn't help you at all but I was interested to check.

My contact was Crystal clear - :D - that pax should be calling tix office at origin to do this rather than KF call ctr - no idea why - but again I am no rocket scientist.

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

I tried to book on line (several times) but kept getting a message (call us, or something)
When I did call, I asked for R class (for the X3 points) but was told it was not available, my priority was to get the suites, and the points was only going to be a bonus, to which I never go to use anyway :(

Geeze, if you can't find a use for them I sure could... ;)

You would have been welcome to them TomVexille, there was not enough points to get me out of Oz (35,000 ish if I remember correctly)
and we had no plans to fly around lower Asia.
We went to Singapore this time last year (for our Anniversary) but it was only for the weekend, so not enough time to use the points to fly some-where else using the points.

Drat. I love SE Asia :)

Many thanks Cruiser Elite, so AFAIK thst's about 750,000 Citi points I need.
Better start spending.....

And I need about 100,000 QF points to make my SYD/DBX/IST/ then DBX/SYD in J classic booking for 2016.

Excellent trip report! I aim to be in Suites one day. It's going to take me awhile based on my income, credit card spend and travel. However, where there's a will...

Buzzard, I assume you already know, but don't forget you can buy points from SPG. I'm waiting for an offer before I buy mine. You also get the 5,000 point bonus if you transfer 20,000 from SPG to Krisflyer. Also, the Krisflyer Spree website, is an option. Yes the earn rate isn't great but something is better than nothing.

If you plan on travelling on SQ before your Suites reward flight, the Westpac Krisflyer card offers you double points:

Earn double the usual KrisFlyer miles when you use either of your Singapore Airlines Westpac Platinum credit cards to purchase flights or upgrades in Australian dollars from singaporeair.com.

Dinner nearly ready, but trying to get this report finished.....

Last day in Zurich, decided to go on all day bus / train trip to Jungfrau. Best decision of the trip.

[TD]You will never forget this trip up to the amazing world of Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe – UNESCO-named World Heritage Park of the Swiss Alps. A guided scenic coach tour first takes you through enchanting landscapes to the magnificent mountain world of the Bernese Oberland. After a short interlude in Interlaken you reach Lauterbrunnen where the trip onwards and upwards continues in the modern cogwheel railway through idyllic scenery to Kleine Scheidegg, located immediately at the foot of the imposing Eiger North Face. You continue ever upwards by train past the Eiger North Face station where the husky dogs are bred, all the way through the mountain to the highest railway station in Europe – Jungfraujoch at 11 333 ft /3454 m. This wonderworld of eternal snow and ice is absolutely stunning. Visit the Ice Palace and its sculptures or enjoy the breathtaking views from the Sphinx look-out terrace over the Aletsch Glacier, the longest ice stream in Europe, to the surrounding mountain peaks of the neighbouring countries. Your admiration for this spectacle of nature will know no bounds! If you’re peckish, there are 4 restaurants to satisfy your hunger. The trip down will take you to Grindelwald where your coach awaits you for the return to Zürich. Jungfraujoch is situated at a very high altitude. Dress warmly and wear sunglasses!

Hi Bindibuys,
Thanks for the trip report :)
I am heading to Zurich in late August so I have been scanning looking for ideas... Can I ask who ran the tour?
