Scams like these

I get a *huge* variety of spam (thankfully my spam filter is awesome!!!), but lately, so many ladies are wanting to meet me?? :shock:
Olga, Katerina, Yelena - I'm wondering how they know I'm such a "nice guy". :rolleyes: (Guess they heard about all the little blue pills from last month that were offered to me. :mrgreen:)

Also had Sgt John Adams of the USMC offer me a few million 3 times in the past week and my PA has to appear in District Court; funny we don't have a "District Court" here in BKK. . . . . .

My Gmail account is superb for detecting this c***, Optusnet is the absolute worst - I don't use it at all these days except for emergencies and it garners the most spam (currently 391 spam messages and counting since June 1st).

I have noticed a real trend in SCAM emails, and that is the use of a very long narrative:

A trend I've noticed is a decline in quality. Sure, there are occasional good-looking ones from "Paypal", but here are three recent ones. Is it work experience week at the scammers' office or something?

- virtuous organizational, negotiating, analytical skills;

Aaaah, see. I'd be no good for that job! Nothing virtuous about my organizational skills. Generally tend to cough* things up most of the time... ;)

I today know if the person who contacted me is real but I have asked "her" a few questions. 99.99% sure it's a scam. Will try to catch the scammers out and get their account shut down.
How do you guys get so much spam? More active on social media?

How do you guys get so much spam? More active on social media?

In my experience, as the Mailguard keeper for our business, the more websites you "clicky, clicky" on, the more spam you will get, particularly when you don't delete the cache and cookies on a regular basis.

There is a definite relationship to how productive you are, and how much spam you get.

But surely you would need to be signed in to social media with email address known and clicking on various websites?

If I don't provide my email address to anyone while I am surfing how will they get my email address? My internet settings are medium-high and I would have the internet settings even higher not to allow cookies etc if it wasn't compulsory for websites such as Qantas.

The medium-high reference means you use Internet Explorer?

I have no idea - I didn't say I was an expert :) I just get the Mailguard reports and see who's getting the bulk of spam. Very interesting "Subject" header lines - makes me wonder...
