The words "Virgin Airline" would have been a red flag for me.
I must have my spam settings too high - ever since the 1000xCialis offer, I haven't had anyone wanting to be my "special fiend". :(

This scam (or a previous version of it called "mobieblitz") currently pops up every 10 seconds or so when using the AFF app via 3G / 4G on Vodaphone, making the app essentially unuseable. Fortunately, it doesn't appear at all when connecting through wifi! I have also seen it once or twice when using other apps, but it's annoyingly persistent in the AFF app.

I've checked the answers, and it's apparently impossible NOT to score 100% in the quiz

Well Anna obviously reads AFF.I had 2 emails from an Anna today. In the first she wanted me to write to her but then in the second she realised that was not going to work on me so she was very explicit in what she wanted me to do.
Sorry Anna,no chance.

Boy they are coming thick and fast today-Marie,Donna,Jessica,Joanne and Rita are all offering their services.

I must admit I did a double take and then looked again at the subject heading.
It was delivered to my work inbox and I don't have anything registered with any airlines to that address.

I wouldn't have even noticed the subject! However, alarm bells would have been ringing when I read "we'll credit $95 to your account". How would Qantas even know my bank account details? They would offer points!

So because I did not take up those various offers today I have Bart and David offering their services.

Scammers in India will sell your private details for between $350-$1000. Years ago a private investigator called me regarding a friends stolen car and made wonder how he got my number.

"There are … 3 major telecom numbers details I can provide you. Telstra, Vodafone and Optus," the Indian company's representative wrote in a text message to a prospective client seen by Fairfax Media.
The company charges $350 to provide a person's home address and charges $1000 for a "full extract". This includes a person's home address, date of birth, alternative phone numbers and "more than 1 years billing statements" and "calling data history".
"And for VIP, politician, police, celebrity, charges are different," one message said.

My ISP is transitioning webmail service across from a server using their old system details dating back more than a decade to a new server. I prefer using the old webmail server. Because my account dates to the very earliest identity of this ISP I also have the liberty of using both the newer assigned email address and my original email as a "legacy" account.
I received an email this morning that required me to read twice as it spoke convincingly about all that mentioned above regarding transitioning. The mistake they made was to use the very old ISP name in their spiel. They wanted me to confirm accounts and passwords. It may be that the offshore contractor has sold-on customer details.

The "other side" was working hard last night.

The interesting thing was when I tried to forward to the amex spoof account the bigpond server rejected it as a spam email.
