I know it's rather uncool and old fashioned compared to the trendy Gmail, but my 28yo hotmail account hardly gets any at all. MS filter most of it out before it even reaches the spam box.

I once had a recruitment agent tell.me never to submit a resume from hotmail as you won't be treated seriously and "obviously out of touch" with the current business environment.

@p--and--t … it has occurred tome that the senders of that one must have a certain … “mindset”, assuming that they can get away with sending it to people who’d think it was real.
ie. they’re obviously thinking that the off-taste stuff they’re into is normal enough that others will think they’ve been caught doing it!

They seemed to have moved to more generic more encompassing emails. Trying to cover every variation of Andriod, IOS, Windows etc.

Earlier versions were pretty obvious when they talked about hacking your laptop when one only owned an iPhone.

Regardless I hazard a guess the percentage who fit the scenario described would be a miniscule percentage of the huge volumes of spam they generate.
