Scams like these

This went to my spam folder and I thought it looked very much like apple but now I'm thinking it is spam

From what I can see the email does not address you by name; eg Dear David.
I would therefore err on the side of caution and delete it.
Even if you did consider it legitimate, the golden rule is NEVER use hyperlinks in emails to access your account information.
Access your Apple account from the Settings Menu of your device.

I just realised I had the email come to both of my Apple accounts with correct email addresses but I've deleted both even though they probably are legit. I'll just log in to Apple again sometime

So Virgin Money fraud department called me again and want to discuss fraudulent transaction . On a mobile number.

"But I've only just received the card and have not activated it nor used it yet."

Blah, blah, blah.

"You're an idiot!"

Blah, blah, blah.

He hung up and called again on different mobile number then hung up. Called 15 or so minutes later on different mobile number again, I answered and he mentioned he was after some other name then hung up. And called a 4th time on a totally different mobile number.

So they don't have my credit card number. There's no fraudulent transaction, they're after the one time pin. I'm not taking any calls from Virgin Money fraud department seriously.

And seriously why are they allowed to cycle through Australian mobile phone numbers. Whoever is allowing this needs to understand they are part of the problem.
 
They can spoof any mobile or other phone number they want.
Dont know how, but its like how they say, they can also spoof their sms to come in the same line as genuine Auspost sms.
 
So Virgin Money fraud department want to talk to me about a fraudulent transaction and want to send me an OTP. They must really think I'm stupid. Virgin Money would not send me a OTP.

I told them off quite badly. Called back 3 more times in a minute and I rejected each one. This number is different to the ones on Monday.

I only just activated brand new card and it has not been used anywhere. Who ever is trying this on must be very persistent trying this on twice in a week.
